As we all should know by now (okay, as all parents should know by now), potty training is a pain in the butt.
We're going to be starting attempt #3. I was supposed to start June 1st, but when we woke up that morning and started off with a tantrum for having to sit on the potty, I was already annoyed with it. For what feels like the gazzilionth time.
Well, now it's just become a game. My daughter says, "Mommy, I have to go potty", EVERY SINGLE time we go to a store/restaurant. Without fail, I swear. And what does she really mean when she says that? "I just want to go to the bathroom, so that you, mommy, can go potty and I can move around more and play with toilet paper". Because, heaven forbid, I actually put her on the big potty. It just turns into a meltdown. *rolls eyes*.
So, something that was already challenging enough... is getting even more challenging. I mean, sure, it's possible, but, really? Really?
I'll just keep in mind that every kid gets potty trained at some point. That's really my only hope right now.
Anyone have the cure for the potty-in-the-appropriate-place averse child?
