Ever since my daughter was born, I realized that we have to look for a bigger place. We are currently living in a teeny and tiny apartment where it's hard for us three to move around. Another down size is that the my daughter doesn't have a play area to play around.
I feel really bum about that and wish we could move to a bigger place where she can have her own room to play in before she was born. However, the plus size is that the real estate has been pretty good, a lot of homes has been dropping at a good rate, where it's affordable to buy. Hopefully in the next few months we'll be looking into it and consider of what kind of home we should invest in for the long run.
Here are some factors that we are considering in:- Good Neighborhood
- #1 school district with high test score - http://www.greatschools.net/ this site is pretty good, it tells you if the your school district falls into a good category district and you can see what the test score percentile is before enrolling your kids into.
- Good community
- Near parks and local library
- A Mommy network
- Shopping is easy to commute or to walk to
- A Condo or a House - we are not thinking about co-op just too much regulations and rules
What kind of other factors did you consider before investing a home?
By the way have a great mommy weekend!
