A Conversation With: Ava (6) ... again
Ava: Mommy, the back of Woody's neck says Disney, Pixar, and China.
Me: OK, yes, it probably does.
Ava: What does that mean? Why does it say all that?
Me: Well Disney Pixar made Toy Story, and that toy was probably made in China.
Ava: But how could it be made in China? It came from Santa.
....think think think AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Me: Well, Santa's elves make toys that look like the ones in the store, right?
Ava: Yeaaaah. (this was a very dubious yeah)
Me: Maybe they just mark it to look exactly like all the other toys.
Ava: *silence*
Me: Or maybe Santa has some Chinese elves.
Ava: OK.

Do you have a funny, crazy, or GENIUS conversation with your little one that you'd like to share? We want to hear from you (and feature your stories)! We hope this will be a new, regular series, "A Conversation With." It's easy, just click here and give the first name and age of your child (or children) along with the conversation. We'll do the rest! Look for us on Fridays!
... and if you don't want me to keep featuring my own Ava, you better submit, Mamas.

"Or maybe Santa has some Chinese elves."
ROFL! I love it! These conversations are great.
Great response!! Nice save! My daughter saw her toy at the store and asked why she has the same one. I told her it wasn't the same, it was made special by the elves. Then she totally stumped me with the Easter Bunny. She asked how he gets into the house. Ummmm.....lol
All I have to say is that you have a very observant little one and it might be difficult to just pass things off when she's so smart. Lol. Good luck!
LOL, this put a smile on my face. How cute. I give you props! ;)
I completely forget which presents came from Santa and which ones were given as gifts from family. I have gotten myself into trouble a few times. My daughter just thinks I'm stupid. "No, mom, Santa gave me that." "Oh, you're right, I forgot."
i miss that age a lot. it was so much fun and they'd really believe almost anything :D i posted a blog last week that was Texting with Miss H, (she'll be 16 over the summer) your girl sounds like one smart cookie :)
