I wish I was making this up and it was just some goofy idea to spread around the Internet and get a good laugh, but it's not. It's real. You can, for $15 a month, have not only feminine hygiene products delivered to your door, but also chocolates and a little gift.
Really?
I can't decide if this if
Le Parcel is a great business idea and will be popular and take off like they hope, or if it's just stupid. Tampons delivered to my door in a pretty package with a fancy name? Isn't it bad enough that they put motivational messages on the wrappers?
You choose your favorite brand, and then you decide the quantity of tampons, pads, and liners. Literally. You can say you want 4 tampons, 2 pads, and 3 liners. You customize your monthly Aunt Flow arsenal and it's delivered to your door.
I can understand that this prevents the "send a man to the store" embarrassment many husbands and boyfriends often deal with, but are women now embarrassed too? You mean to tell me you can't drive to the store, grab a box or two, a Snickers bar, and a bottle of wine yourself?
What do you think? Would you use Le Parcel?

I sure hope this isn't sponsored, because I feel the need to say there is not one, but at least two of these sites.
I just read about sentherway.com earlier this week. They ship to your home every 28 days. Ahahahaha.Mandi I wouldn't use le parcel, but I will admit that when it is that time of the month I am in way too much pain to go to the store lol
@PrettiEnough@xanga - No way, there's another tampon delivery service? I am in the wrong business. And no, our sponsored posts are always marked as such.
I actually love this idea! I think its great - pretty and fun and the little gift is exciting. I wouldn't do it because it is too expensive for me, but if I was a single, 28 year old, business executive, living in a New York City high rise, making $65K/year ...I would definitely do this :)
It's probably meant to stand as a compliment and nice gesture. You feel bloated and fat, your face breaks out and is uber oily, and your feel nauseated the first couple of days. I wouldn't mind having my lady products delivered to my house with some chocolate, it would make me feel special amongst the hormonal nonsense that happens during your period.
@ChainBracelets@xanga - I agree. I can be pretty scary during the first few days. I feel sorry for the poor cashiers who have to deal with me if I have to make any last minute trips.
I don't think it is about being embarrassed. I think it is about being a control freak and/or scheduler type of person. I actually like the idea. I probably use the same type and amount each month would be nice to have it arrive every month planned out. lol
I think this is awesome, lol. I always forget to buy more pads when I run out, so this would be great for me. And theres chocolate? WINNING.
I dont have my period anymore so this idea isnt bad for those ladys who do still have thier periods:)
@Mandi - my thoughts exactly.
After reading this, I told my husband that I feel like I missed out on a wonderful business opportunity.I think it's a cute idea! I wouldn't use it for myself normally, due to the it being more expensive than simply doing things how I do them now... But it's a cute idea. :) I like the presentation. Maybe if I get rich one day and don't have to worry about where every penny's going, it could be considered! ;D
I don't feel like going anywhere when I'm on my period. I like that idea.
Well, we can't buy wine at drug/grocery stores here in Ontario, LOL, and I'd need real chocolate rather than what's in that picture....but I do like the idea! You could try new products. You won't get caught off guard when you discover the box under the sink is actually empty....
I wonder if I can copy this idea as a business up here....
What? I can't believe people would spend money on having this delivered to them. If you don't like buying tampons when you get your period buy them ahead of time. PLAN for it. It's not like it doesn't come every month and if it doesn't, even better you should have a bigger supply. I mean I have at least six boxes of half opened, tampons and pads of all sizes and when it starts to get low. I buy more. I mean don't people go to work? You can't stop on the way home and grab some tampons and some chocolate? This is such a waste of money. We waste so much money on stuff we don't need.
15$ a month? You can buy 3 boxes of tampons for that. That's enough to cover at least 4-5 months.
What's next toilet paper in pretty packaging?
Here you can order over amazon 108 tampons for 13.94. AMAZON Free shipping if you're a prime member or if you spend 10 more dollars. Maybe on Pads? 45 count for 5.47
And here's some Chocolate 38.5 Oz bag of hershey nuggets for 12.14
Tadah! Free shipping! Just saved you a buttload of money. Without the frills! And that will last you around 6-8 months.
I like this idea about as much as I like paying $40 for a basket of oranges during the holidays.
I think I'll continue buying mine from Dollar Tree, and my oranges from Aldi's.
I am not sure I would use it, but it's a really cool concept!!
