I wish I was making this up and it was just some goofy idea to spread around the Internet and get a good laugh, but it's not. It's real. You can, for $15 a month, have not only feminine hygiene products delivered to your door, but also chocolates and a little gift.
I can't decide if this if Le Parcel
is a great business idea and will be popular and take off like they hope, or if it's just stupid. Tampons delivered to my door in a pretty package with a fancy name? Isn't it bad enough that they put motivational messages on the wrappers?
You choose your favorite brand, and then you decide the quantity of tampons, pads, and liners. Literally. You can say you want 4 tampons, 2 pads, and 3 liners. You customize your monthly Aunt Flow arsenal and it's delivered to your door.
I can understand that this prevents the "send a man to the store" embarrassment many husbands and boyfriends often deal with, but are women now embarrassed too? You mean to tell me you can't drive to the store, grab a box or two, a Snickers bar, and a bottle of wine yourself? What do you think? Would you use Le Parcel?
