They are precious to us: our beautiful babies! And they have totally cute, incredibly soft hair! I was hesitant when the time came for baby's first haircut. His curls! The sadness of it all! But, as Daddy insisted, it was time. And so it was with a sense that my baby was becoming a little boy, the curls were clipped. He was about 10 months old.
We waited until our daughter was older for her first haircut, and even then it was only because her hair was growing at a different rate on top than it was in the back. We couldn't let our little fashionista have a mullet, oh heck no!
In most Baby's First Year memory keeper kits is a little box for that first curl of hair. I had to make the choice: look like a mild weirdo and keep the hair - or toss it in the trash?
(Shhh, I kept it!)
Tell us! What did you do with your baby's first curl? Did you keep it? How old was your child for his/her first haircut? Were you sentimental about it?
