  • Sponsored: Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40

With the AAP making new recommendations for the safety of our little ones and suggested that all infants up to the age 2 remain rear-facing, Graco released a brand new seat to meet the needs of many parents - one seat that STAYS rear facing from newborn to 2 years of age. That means there's no weight/height limit right in the middle that once met or exceeded, a new seat needs purchased. With it's revolutionary new reclining system, the seat stays in the base, in the car, and reclines to adjust to the height of your child!

I got the chance last weekend to visit my local Babies R Us with another blogger to introduce moms and moms-to-be to the new seat! Courtney, from Optimistic Mommy, did a great job with both presentations (there were two event times), and we met some fun moms!

A few things about the car seat:

    • 4 – 40 pound weight limit— a full 2 years
    • Base adjusts with 8 recline positions for most leg room of any rear-facing car seat for baby comfort
    • The Simply Safe Adjust™ harness systems allows parents to adjust the harness and headrest with just one hand to fit their baby’s height as their baby grows, all without having to rethread the harness for extra convenience.
    • Click Connect™ attachment which allows parents to easily transition their babies from the car seat to the stroller through a simple, but secure, one-step “click.”

Here's Courtney and I, with my little Haley.

The seat is exclusively sold at Babies R Us online and in stores for $219.99, in two different colors (Mena and Moonstruck).

I know for us, our current seat has a height and weight limit that once reached, a new seat will need to be purchased. I plan on keeping both little ones rear facing until 2, just like the AAP recommends. For many new moms, or those who are trying to conceive, having the option to purchase just one seat for those first 2 years is going to be a financial relief.

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
