Down With Diaper Rash With Boudreaux's Butt Paste

Diaper rash gives me goosebumps. I hate the thought of my poor little one with a sore, red bottom. I wish so badly that someone would invite a magic cream that instantly soothes and cures a bad diaper rash. Oh wait, Boudreaux's pretty much does! I'm serious, after three kids and two in diapers right now, even before they were born I knew I would only be using Boudreaux's. I remember our first diaper rash, when our oldest was an itty bitty baby. I felt HORRIBLE. I'm his mom, I'm supposed to change his diaper frequently and make sure he doesn't sit in a wet or dirty diaper for too long. But life happens, and rashes happen, and we can't be hard on ourselves. So to soothe him, I did everything. EVERYTHING. I let him lay on a towel so he could air dry after each diaper change, I used a super soft washcloth with just warm water (those wipes are cold and the ingredients can sting!). I tried cream after cream, we changed his diaper around the clock. I felt horrible that it wasn't going away and that he cried at each diaper change.
So finally, as we worked our way through the available concoctions, we tried Boudreaux's. A thin layer on a dry bum, and at the next change? It was already clearing up. We stuck with it, hoping we had finally found "it". We had.
With the younger two, it's all I want to use. They have a maximum strength that is perfect for that red-as-heck butt, super sore toosh, and then just the regular strength for the minor rashes.

less than 5 minutes ago i smeared that particular brand on my baby's bottom. sometimes, though, a recurring diaper rash can have less to do with dryness and more to do with allergens or sensitivities to foods or diapers.
To keep rash at bay we clean thoroughly with water and wipe dry with bummas and we always put Butt Paste on. We’ve had no trouble with rash and our little one’s bottom is very happy!

i dont have a baby yet but she's coming in December and I'm hopeful that we don't need diaper rash cream but if we do, now I know of one!
The hubs has super sensitive skin that he has unfortunately passed down to our kiddos. NOTHING and I mean absolutely NOTHING has worked for their skin except this witches brew recipe or pediatrician told us to try.
4oz A&D

1oz Bacitracin(neosporin)
2 Tbsp Maalox(You can crush the tablets or you can get liquid, either way it works)
This has worked MIRACLES on their skin and we havent had to use anything else since we started this over a year ago. We also make a tub of it(usually using a tupperware container or something of that nature)so we arent continuously making more. Its awesome!
Well, Boudreaux’s is the BEST brand of cream you can buy for it. Other than that, we just let their little booties “air out” for a bit with no diaper, and then I use some talc-free baby powder sometimes… but really, one good slathering of BBP overnight usually took care of any trouble my babies ever had with diaper rash. LOVE this stuff.

I have only ever used this product on my kids. they make a spray too that was a lifesaver when my one year old had rotovirus and you didn't want to even touch his skin.
I used to use Desitin and then I tried Butt Paste...Worked miracles! If I see even a tiny bit of redness I put a little on and it is cleared up before the next diaper change. :) Love it!
We always tackled a rash with diet-- keeping a food log, removing a particular food for awhile and then bringing it back slowly to see if it was the cause. I remember strawberries being a problem for a little while.
Butt paste is good, but we've only needed it on his anus, after he's gone to sleep and then pooped his pants without us knowing. I change him very frequently..That seems to be the difference between my old fashioned diapering 36 years ago with cloth diapers, changing them darn near constantly, and kids now changing not as often because the diapers are so expensive. But we've all done the best we could. The think that rankles me is, when he's in the tub, he yanks on his penis, and sometimes it gets quite red from that, so I put a little bit of neosporin on it and it's well in a couple of days.

i try to avoid it by keeping her dry,but sometimes it does happen and we use boudreaux's. it really does work!
I tackle a diaper rash by always putting powder on top of the ointment. Powder dries up any moisture and keep the skin dry so it can heal. It’s extremely important.
