The crisp, cool Autumn air. Everything about that first breath of Autumn is wonderful. I feel the perfect beauty glide into me as I inhale and slowly open my eyes. "Life is beautiful in the fall," is my first thought.
I turn over and look out the window at the grey-blue sky, then hear a soft sigh. My little ones are snuggled in the big plush teal blanket with me. My Daughter, sunken into the groove my Husband left in the mattress before he headed to work. My Son, snuggled against my growing tummy. I feel a slight wiggle-tickle and flip in that growing tummy.
Everything is so peaceful and quiet. All I hear is the rustle of the leaves from the smooth cool breeze. I can't help but want to hold this moment forever. It's interrupted by the loud screaming whistle of the steam engine that runs through the tracks right outside the balcony door.
Now it's time...
The blanket starts to build lumps and waves, then pops up my two little ones with loud giggles and screeches.
My day has begun wonderfully.
