In my house, we love music of all kinds. I like to have it on while working, or while the kids are playing, or when we are working on laundry and other household chores. To me, having the TV on is a big distraction. It's too visual and draws you in and then before you know it, an hour has passed and you haven't done anything you set out to do! When we set up the Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge, I knew it was a perfect match for us.
It's portable. As in, it has a rechargeable battery OR can be plugged in with an AC adapter. That means, if I'm at my desk and then head to the laundry room, I can just pick up the whole system and take it with me. That means, if we want to head outside to play, I don't need to worry about finding an extension cord to snake under the back door! It's genius!
Don't let the image fool you though, you don't have to have an Apple device to use it. Why? Because you can connect via Bluetooth (so any Bluetooth-ready device will work, you just connect the device wirelessly and tap the button on the system and you're ready to go!). There's also an FM tuner, so you don't even need to connect or dock a device, just listen to your favorite radio station. You can download the Soundfreaq app and control the radio right from your phone. This thing is just oozing awesome technology that makes listening to music so great. You can stream Pandora, iHeart, iTunes, etc.
You want to know what I used to do while in the kitchen and I wanted to listen to music? I would turn on Pandora on my iPhone, and then set it in a ceramic bowl. The bowl would amplify the sound. It worked, but this is so much better. It sounds amazing too, it produces clear sound that's nothing but quality. I think the black (which is what we have) is super sleek, and fits right in with any decor.
Now, if you took the time to read this far, you can visit the Soundfreaq store and use the discount code “momblog” to receive a 10% discount on the Sound Step Recharge and all other products in the store!
Have you purchased any technology that makes work or play more fun for your family?

Just an opinion, but I would prefer fewer sponsored posts, and more personalized blogs. I really don't care about products you love. I'd rather read about what your kid said, or something else of that nature. Thanks.
My son and his family, girlfriend, her 10 year old daughter, and their one year old son, have some kind of noise going on in the house at all times. I remember growing up sans noise, reading a lot, playing inside and outside, and studying. Music, of course, is a blessing, if it is something that causes the baby's brain to progress and not stay stagnant. I prefer looking at studies, like the ones they did over Baby Einstein. Since my one year old grandson is bombarded with music at his house, I've made my house the "quiet house", with things we do without noise, unless we are in the sandbox and hear trucks go by. Studies are coming out that are telling us to read to our six and seven month old children rather than use electronics to stimulate their learning, and that pleases me. It's probably just a genetic thing, and has not to do with individual smarts, as all your babies are certainly very smart, but he's beginning to put words together, and to do social type activities when we play outside. Sometimes while indoors, I'll put one song of a CD on, and sing to it, to encourage him to sing. But that's all. No more t.v., etc. while at gramma's.
Too bad you will need a different adapter if you decide to upgrade to the iPhone5.
Are there a lot of these sponsored posts because it gets the author free stuff? If so, I'm happy for you, but if I want to read about a product, I'll research said product. And this one has essentially nothing to do with parenting. These really turn me off from momaroo.
