Sponsored: Kmart Big Layaway Giveaway For The Holidays!
This post brought to you by Kmart. All opinions are 100% mine.
I know, we're barely even to Halloween, but since some stores have already brought out the Christmas decorations, we might as well at the very least touch on the subject. Holiday shopping. Present, gift cards, gift wrap, it can all be a daunting process for those of us who wait a little too long. Am I right?
In my house we've started making gestures, winking, pointing, nudging, and any other kind of hint that we can so the kids don't see or hear us. Late at night we've hinted at where we might hide away the present until they are wrapped (or when they are wrapped). With three kids, we need to start planning now.
That's why I'm seriously considering Kmart's free layaway. Not only can we go shopping childless, we can leave everything there and pay it off. When we go to pick it up, plan another childless few hours so we can bring everything home and start wrapping.
To sweeten the pot just a little bit, Kmart is launching their Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! Between now and 11/17/12, one winner every week will win their remaining balance completely paid off. Just imagine how incredible it would be to win, and have all of those holiday gifts paid off!
If you're wondering what makes Kmart's layaway so special, here's a graphic:

Even if you don't care about the giveaway, and are just looking for a way to lessen the financial strain of the holidays, being able to set up a payment plan for all of those gifts for your family and friends is a great way to help get organized and ready for the holidays!
Have you used a store layaway program before? When do you start your holiday shopping?

That's funny, we were just talking about this last night. The PFD will be coming out in about a month, so we will use about half of that for Christmas and avoid putting things on the credit card or layaway. It would be nice to use layaway just to store the big stuff though!
