  • Suburban Mom's 50 Shades Parody {Video}

    "50 Shades of Grey" is everywhere you look. Cast rumors are filling up Facebook feeds, parodies are popping up all over YouTube, it's just plain everywhere on the Internet. Some parodies aren't that great, but for us moms, this one is pretty good. Watch as one suburban mom fantasizes about Christian Grey handling the kids, homework, and more.

    Laters, baby.

    I watched that video with my husband sitting beside me. We turned and looked at each other like  about 5 or 6 times. LOL!

    Sooo I'm watching the news about this trendy book and they interview a group of women in their 40's or 50's that are taken with it. They think its really hot stuff and really NEW or taboo or whatever. And I couldnt help but think, what rock have they been living under? BDSM and kinky sex has been around for forever. Hitting women for any reason has always been popular... so how does a book, which I hear is highly repetitive and low quality become so popular?

    In my early teens I'd bury myself in sex books at Barnes and Noble or when Borders was still around. When Napster made it big I downloaded free porn. I also made it a point to go to the sex stores if anything to have a laugh at some of the toys. When I needed tips for a blow job I didnt seek out Glamour magazine but I talked to my boyfriend.

    So either women these days shelter and oppress themselves, or deep down they are (I'm sorry to say) a little pathetic. I understand why some teenagers might be tantilized by this... but for it to reach the degree of popularity currently in modern times... is a little shocking to me. Can anyone explain this to me?
