Pregnant Bikini Contest - Would You?

Last night in Houston, TX there was an 8th annual Pre-Labor Day (har har) Bikini Contest.

You can see more about the contest here.
We have to ask: Would you? What do you think of this?

Kudos to their bravery!
The Rod Ryan Show!! We love this competitions in our family. It's shows beauty knows no boundaries. My wife said she's do it if she were pregnant during the contest.
It is amazing that they are confident enough with their preggo bodies to show off their bikini bumps, but I have to say, it does look funny. Especially the top photo. Her body looks amazing! It looks like the bump was photo-shopped on. I am proud of her for keeping her figure and for bearing it for all to see, but I'm not gonna lie, it looks funny. I always do tankinis when pregnant.
I'd do it ^.^! Why not? It looks fun and it's way cute!
the only time i was semi-confortable wearing a bikini was when i was pregnant. so i totally would have done this. too bad we already have our 2 babies...
They look great! :)
if it makes her feel like a normal woman for a bit, then yes...
Why not? I love the idea :) As long as they're healthy etc. ^^
pay attention to the smile of the guy in blue in the last pic.. the longer i looked at it the creepier :P
Don't see an issue with it. Great time for hubby to get some pictures to show the little one some day. I couldn't do it cuz I'm too self conscience, but for you who aren't, if you aren't going to start some nagging from family members, go for it. And remember, put it in the baby's book.
only if there was a big jar of dill pickles and loads of chocolate to be won! lol, yes I would
I would totally participate! The only time I felt 100% comfortable in my big boobies and slight pudge was while pregs.
It's funny. Crowd dictates response. When I saw this story in my newsfeed, the overwhelming sentiment was, "gross" and "trashy." Which I totally don't agree with.
I tested a friend of ours, my best friend's husband. I said, "last night we missed a bikini contest in Houston."
His facial expression: aww man, that sucks!
"It was a pre-Labor Day pregnant bikini contest."
His facial expression: gross, I mean, aww man, that sucks! I mean....
And then he didn't know how he was "supposed" to react. Hahaha!
I wouldn't personally do it. BUT i think it's funny (the "pre-labor day" part) and there's special beauty in pregnancy. However, If I DID participate I certainly would not be wearing those heals! Easy enough to fall in bare feet. :D
I might consider it. But I thought the same thing as @aliyagator@xanga. When I saw the first picture was like "IN THOSE HEELS?!" I can't walk in heels NOT pregnant I couldn't imagine me taking a chance in heels like that pregnant. lol But I think it's pretty cool. I was planning on wearing a bikini when we were planning a trip to the beach anyway (I'm currently 11 days away from my due date). What's the prize? If it would be some kind of monetary prize or baby stuff prize most definitely! (: Preparing for baby is expensive enough.
To each their own. If there is such a contest, and there are women who want to participate, more power to them. I have not been pregnant, nor have I ever felt comfortable in a bikini in public, so I am unlikely to do this.
Ugh. Absolutely the most-disgusting shit I have ever seen. Anyone who posts pictures like that needs to have their heads examined. Women should NOT be allowed to walk around in such a manner. It is absolutely disgusting.
@CanuckFascist@xanga - We love you, too, man. Kisses.
Not my style, but kudos the ladies that did/would want to!
@sarahsmurfette@xanga - Ooooh, a smartass. Do not get me wrong. I love a certain class of women. Those in the pictures, I wouldn't give them a sideways glance they are so far beneath me.
@dewdroptear@xanga - Haha he looks like "I got ALL of them pregnant"
@sarahsmurfette@xanga - It's so true. Part of us is encouraged to think an exposed body that is not normally considered "sexy" is gross, while another part of us is socialized to think that it's wrong to be closed-minded/negative about such things.
I made my decision before thinking too much about it: Hell yes I would do it.
@CanuckFascist@xanga - It's not in your biological nature to consider a woman who is already pregnant.
I've seen pregnant women wear a bikini.
Thumbs up!!!
I don't think I would do a contest. But if I had a bathing suit that fit my prego body, I would definitely use it. Swimming is great for the body. And I don't think that pregnant women look gross. I wouldn't want the world to get to see my stretch marks too well. But if given the chance, I would love to go swimming at a beach. I would look better than the obese pale men drinking beers.
The only reason I wouldn't do the contest is simply that I wouldn't do a bikini contest if I weren't pregnant. Not my style. I only want hubby ogling me.
