  • FDA Bans BPA From Baby Bottles and Sippy Cups

Finally, after years of scrutiny from scientists, BPA (bisphenol-A) has been banned officially. From baby bottles and sippy cups only. It's a step in the right direction. It's an important step in what will hopefully be the continued removal from everything.

There's just little impact, as most manufacturers of these products have already stopped using the chemical because of safety concerns. So officially banned from baby products, but you'll still find it in your household pantry more then likely.

The FDA is still allowing the chemical to be used in food storage products, things like canned food and water bottles, some of the most used items in a household are still at risk of leaching the chemical to consumers.

I first read about the FDA ban HERE.

Have you been avoiding BPA in your home? What products and brands can you recommend as BPA-free?
