Pregnant...

I took a First Response this morning at 5 AM, after about 6 hours of sleep. It showed a very light line in the time frame. I think it may even be lighter than the one the night before. Then at 10 AM, I took a dollar store test and it showed a faint positive within the time frame. Which is good, since it was taking 30 minutes or more to show up the day before. Good sign right? I am just nervous because they are so light, but I have no idea how far along I would be. I called my Dr. and they said they will have me come in on the 26th to "see what's going on." I didn't just call and say "I'm pregnant," because then they'd have me wait at least four weeks. I called and told them about my miscarriage and I think I am pregnant because I am getting light positives. I was hoping to get in today for bloodwork, but no. :(I was ecstatic last night but I am just really scared now. I want to just be hopeful and remain positive, but I just can't until I get more reassurance.
I tried to get a pic, but I don't think you guys could even see these lines. When I mean barely there I mean I can only see it in certain lighting. Lol.

Good luck to you, I hope for the best, crossing fingers.
I took my first pee test when I was four and a half weeks along. The pink line was so faint, I was sure I was seeing things. I took another test the following week and the line was much darker. I went to the doctor later that week and she confirmed it. Maybe you're just very early in your pregnancy?
Good luck!!
could be very early, could be a false positive.. this is why i stopped taking home tests. Had it happen to me twice.. the dr confirmed the 1st one was a false positive, and the 2nd was most likely an early miscarry.......
I hope its a positive for you =)
Good luck, mom.
I'm pregnant with my second child and i took my first test when 3 weeks and 3 days along. (10 dpo) It came back SOO faint i had to hold it up to the light and squint, i wasn't sure if i should believe it, the only reason i did is because the line was pink (not grey like an evaporation line) and it showed up within the time limit. I took another the next day and it was a tiny bit darker, but not much. I waited two more days and got a much darker line that finally convinced me. So don't give up hope yet! Sometimes your pee could be watered down too much, or you may not be as far along as you think.
I hope that you are pregnant. Good luck.
If it makes you feel better...I was living in a place without running water during my first test, so I was using an outhouse. The temperature was well below 0 degrees at the time.
I wasn't trying to get pregnant, but I had a feeling, so I took the test. I was so surprised that it came back pregnant that I called the manufacturer and asked if extremely cold weather could impact the outcome. I even googled it and called the local health clinic (who provided me with a free pee test and an indoor bathroom!).
I do remember that worry about miscarriage and false positives though. All I can say is stay they heck away from google. Every time you think about googling something about pregnancy STOP and turn the computer off immediately!
Just an update- This post is a few days old. Lines are very dark now so they were positives! :)
@LondonsMommy - YAY!!!!!
@sarahsmurfette@xanga - A week or so ago after doing multiple google searches I convinced myself I had fibromyalgia. Definitely staying away from google.
I took a pregnancy test at 3 weeks and 2 days and the line was so faint I could bearly see it. Give it a few days and go from there. Good luck
@sarahsmurfette@xanga - That is exactly it, lol.
I'd say that's a "not". I had the doctor tell me there was a faint line and I might be pregnant, when I knew I wasn't pregnant. I wasn't. You can still see the line sometimes, just because it's there and it's wet. (Been there, done that.)
The following is from peeonastick.com:
Most often the error lies in the interpretation. It's easy to squint,
tilt the test, scan it and invert the color with a photo program, or
try any number of tricks to see a positive result. (I've done it-- I know that of which I speak!)
All tests are prone to evaporation lines-- a gray, colorless,
"ghostlike" line, or a "dent" in the test in the place where a positive
line would be.
All tests have two antibody strips in the test window.
One of these lines will always turn pink (the control line) when exposed
to moisture. The other line will turn pink only if exposed to moisture
with hCG (pregnancy hormone.) These antibody strips are not invisible.
They are difficult to see, but they're there. When exposed to moisture,
the "results" line becomes easier to see (because the moisture causes
the light to reflect differently.) When you scrutinize the test,
therefore, you will always see "something" there. Alas, it
doesn't count unless it is obviously pink (or blue, obviously, if using a
test with blue dye.) If you can't tell what color it is or it's too
faint, assume it is negative.
Also, all tests have a strict time limit of 10 minutes. If ANY line of ANY color develops after 10 minutes (defined as "9 minutes, 60 seconds") you must assume it is negative.
@VampireOfSeduction@xanga - It actually was positive, this was a few days ago and I have taken more tests and the lines are very dark now.
It shouldn't take 30 minutes to show up. I think after 10 minutes the results are void because a 'shadow' of a line appears. A positive should show up within 3 minutes. There is a strip in the tests regardless and after so much time the urine will dry on that strip causing you to visibly see the line whether you're pregnant or not.
I'd wait it out until your positive pops up quickly.
You're featured on the front page, ha!
@PetersPrincess@xanga - Haha I was surprised that they asked me to be featured. Weird.
@LondonsMommy - Congrats!
