Florida Orange Juice Keeps Moms Healthy
This post brought to you by Florida Orange Juice. All opinions are 100% mine.

As moms, we all need to be healthy. Not just for us, but for our children. One way that we can do that is by making sure our diet includes all the right nutrients. Besides drinking enough ounces of water (it's half your body weight!), having some Florida Orange Juice is also a great option!
One 8‐ounce serving of 100 percent orange juice is a good source of potassium and folate and an excellent source of vitamin C.
I know it's hard to keep track of the nutrients, calories, fat, etc that we consume daily, but by making a genuine effort to track what we eat, we can really see what we feed our bodies!
Take a look at your breakfast this morning. Was it a donut or other sugary item? Have you considered something like blending your favorite fruit with 100 percent Florida orange juice and low-fat yogurt for a convenient, on-the-go smoothie? What we eat in front of our kids is a huge way to be a positive role model and teach them what foods are healthy and offer the most nutrition. A key recommendation of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans is to increase fruit intake. Jumpstart your morning with a nutritious meal that includes protein, fruit and energizing nutrient-dense carbs.
Be careful of your choices too! Make sure you're reading the labels and choosing the best. One serving of 100 percent orange juice is more nutrient dense than many commonly-consumed 100 percent fruit juices. When looking for a snack, think outside the box before trying to satisfy your cravings from roadside convenience stores or airport kiosks.
For moms looking to lose the weight that they gained during pregnancy, tracking your food intake (and water intake) plus upping your activity is a great way to get things started. Incorporating the right choices for meals and snacks and being a positive role model? That's just another way to be a good mom!

I skip ALL juices, even 100% juice, and instead go for the fresh fruit. While juice has good benefits, there is a lot of sugar in juice. Eating the fruit fresh also maximizes the nutrients and vitamins, because with juice, you don't get all of the pulp and meat of the fruit, which is where most of the nutrients come from.
the only juice i drink is Ocean Spray's White Cranberry.... unless its fresh squeezed home made juice.... the rest of it just is way too sweet for me... if I am making smoothies I put the fresh fruit in it (it tastes SO much better!).. and Ive been adding Greek yogurt instead of milk. When I am stuck for fruit i buy the flash frozen stuff with no additives.
so California orange is no good? how much did they pay you for pumping this ad?
Eating fruit is healthier than drinking juice. And this was just a blatant (and pointless) advert.
Fruit blended with orange juice and low-fat yogurt IS sugar-filled. Nice ad.
There is nothing good and healthy about juice. The sugar (fructose) in juice (and fruits) is processed directly by the liver, giving a huge raise in blood glucose, which causes a surge of insulin. If you've become insulin resistant due to the typical American diet (even if you've been choosing "healthy" carbs!), your body won't cope with this insulin and you will pack on fat. Yes. Drinking juice/eating fruit will make you fat!
Calories are a measure of the energy put out when burned in a test tube. Humans are not test tubes, and the three types of calories re-act differently in the body. Losing pregnancy weight (Ideally, you've put on only 5 extra pounds over what is actually needed for pregnancy) is NOT a matter of eating less and exercising more. It's a matter of eating less carb calories that raise your insulin levels (ALL carbs raise insulin--whole wheat bread acts the same in our body as sugar!).
Well I for one enjoy a glass of juice a day. Sometimes it's even orange juice. When I drink juice, I do stick to 100% juice. I'm fully aware that it's not as good for you as the fruit itself, but It's my little treat to myself. I try to just stick to 8 oz a day, but some random days drink two glasses. Either way I've still managed to lose weight, so I'll keep on enjoying it! lol
I usually blend orange juice, from Guatemalan oranges, with pineapple, carrots, and coriander. It is a very energetic beverage. I also do it only with carrots, or only pineapple...or banana and milk...or papaya...
