  • What To Do With Those Sonogram Photos? Easy DIY Project

    {image source}

    At the first appointment with my OB/GYN they gave me a sonogram photo of our tiny Pumpkin. He looked like a grainy gummy bear, but still I loved that photo and would strain to make out his little parts. At the 20 week anatomy ultrasound they gave us several more images of Pumpkin and soon we had a little collection of the most precious photos of our growing son.

    I scanned the sonogram and ultrasound photos or took pictures of them with my iPhone so my friends and family could see them, but I wasn't sure what to do with the actual paper photos. I no longer scrap book and didn't feel right about just leaving them in a drawer to get dusty and curl up. So of course I hit the internet and came across the photo above on the gorgeous blog Chic & Cheap Nursery.

    Momaroos, if you've never checked out Chic & Cheap I highly encourage you to do so and make sure you pin the inspiration images you love on your pinterest account. It's that good!

    Anyways, I loved the idea of framing the sonogram photos and the simple "love at first sight" sign to tie them all together. Here's what my version looks like:

    I bought the white frames from Ikea (virsereum) for $1.99 each and made the orange "love at first sight" sign on MS Word. This was by far the cheapest and easiest project we did for our son's room (it only took 10 minutes)!

    It's so easy to personalize this little project by using different styles and colors of frames and by changing out the font style and color for the middle sign. After visiting us, several of my friends have framed their sonogram photos too but their versions look so different.

    Momaroos, what did you end up doing with your sonogram/ultrasound photos?
