I have seen this picture, and others like it, all over the Internet lately. A definite jab to those who think an exposed breast is obscene or inappropriate. It's the boob hat for babies, a simple crocheted hat that can be customized. Don't believe me? Search Etsy for "
boobie hat". Customizable to match the real thing!
So what are your thoughts?
Would you put a boobie beanie on your baby?Do you think the hat is just as offensive as the real deal, or do you agree that it's a clever and funny novelty?

Just as offensive as the real thing?! The real thing isn't offensive. It's natural. All animals do it. Lest we forget that humans are animals too.
I laughed. Since we're past the nursing stage, though... but i don't think i'd use it if we were still nursing. I never liked calling attention to what was going on. We nursed publicly, with no cover, but i was discreet and did it in a way that most people had no idea what was going on.
So, while the idea made me laugh, i don't think i'd want people laughing at me while i was nursing my kid. lol
that looks so tacky
I think it's childish how some people are about how some people feel uncomfortable seeing a woman's breast. I myself am a mother, and I believe that a woman should cover her breast if she is feeding in public, if just with a blanket, because it does make people uncomfortable, and young children may see it and not understand. But that's just me.
Personally, I love it! I think it's a tongue in cheek jab at the prudes who get bent out of shape at what should be accepted as the best way to feed a baby! I am so glad that I was able to breastfeed my sons until they weaned themselves at 14 months. I had healthier babies. Even better, I had to make healthy choices for myself so I was healthy too.
People who think it's ugly or are offended clearly have ZERO sense of humor. Lighten up already! Parenting is a journey that doesn't suffer the faint of heart or the humorless well. If you get offended over a hat that is mildly reminiscent of a breast then you should probably just raise a pet rock. At least you'll never have to deal with something yucky like spit up in your hair or poop leaking out a diaper.
Can you hear me rolling my eyes? I'm rolling my eyes at the prudes...
Although I think it's humorous I would not put this on my child.
