  • Trying To Conceive: Implantation Bleeding

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years. I have regular, but long, cycles and I'm not on anything to help with fertility. Today I experienced something I haven't experienced before.

Sorry if it's too much information, but when I went to the bathroom I had a lot of cervical mucus when I wiped with some pink blood in it. I wiped twice and it was gone and that's all I've had today. I've also been having some strong, but not painful, cramping.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but this feels like it could be it. What do you guys think?

It could be, but I don't want to get your hopes up. Hopefully it is though! Wishing you luck!

About 20% of pregnant women experience implantation bleeding, but it doesn't look like a normal period (from what I've read). If you think you may have had implantation bleeding, you could take a test and it would be accurate. Good luck!

fingers crossed that this is it. Never had implantation bleeding, but I do believe that you just know, That was how I was w/ all my pregancies. take a test in about a week and see what happens!!

That was how a very good friend of mine found out she was pregnant!

Im not too sure as I've never been pregnant before, but I have read about it many times and this is one sign. Wait and see if you get any more signs, and take a test :) I hope you are! I always feel bad (no offence) of people who cant have babies or you know, it takes them a while to concieve while all of these people who are not ready at all for babies have them and they need other people to take care of them ect ect. But I wish you the best!

We've also been trying for nearly 4 years and I know that feeling! It very well could be implantation! I've personally never experienced a pregnancy so for me bleeding in the luteal phase has never meant anything. Only a test in a day or two will tell! Good luck!

A test won't be accurate yet if it is implantation bleeding... give it a couple days, then test.

Go to your doctor and check, what your doctor tells you is way more accurate than what home pregnacy tests show.

Implantation bleeding isn't that common. I know it's tough when you're TTC because when you see light blood, you automatically think it's implantation bleeding. Why don't you wait until your period is due and if you miss it, take a test.

I had implantation bleeding with both my children. The first time it was only 3 days of bleeding, I thought it was  a regular period until it stopped. the second time I had a full period but I thought I was pregnant ( I knew at 4 weeks with both babies). when I took the test it was positive and later ultrasounds revealed that I was right, the full period was implantation, I was pregnant before it came. I wouldn't have believed implantation bleeding could last so long if it hadn't happened to me. hopefully your test will come up positive!! good luck!!!

    Key to my heart...

Maybe. I've never been pregnant and have yet to "try" (aka, sex without a condom) with my significant other, so I'm not the best at answering this. I'm thinking that this is something left between a woman and a mother to exchange information about. This is a good article though. Nice to know what's ahead.

sounds like implantation, i had something almost exactly like that when i got pregnant. mine lasted about a day or two i think, but it was super light. i thought it was a period but then i was late the next month so then i knew it wasnt a period. GOOD LUCK!
