Do You Display Your Meal/Menu Plan?
Source: bhg.com via Steph on Pinterest
I'm one that when I remember to even do a weekly meal plan, I just write it down on paper. But after seeing how others display theirs, I think doing something like that would help me actually stick to the plan. I know that having a plan can really help with not just knowing what's to eat, but also budgeting for groceries. With baby number three on the way, we need to get organized about many things in our lives, and this is a great place to start.
Do you display your plan in your kitchen or somewhere else? Do you think it helps you stay on track?

Those are cute ideas. I know that my husband loves when I write what we're eating and pin it on the fridge. No idea why, maybe it gives him something to look forward to? LOL.
I never write a meal plan, but I suspect if I really wanted to control the spending on groceries, I should. I like the idea of putting it on a calendar, but I might just make word documents on my computer for each week, maybe have 4 or 6 differently weekly plans and just rotate them. Also, I've considered using the weekly meal plans found in food/home and garden magazines.
I have a white board in the kitchen with my meal plan on it. I like it because we never have the "what do you want for dinner? I don't know what do you want?" back and fourth. Its also good for our 4yr old because if he doesn't like what we have for supper one night, he knows his pick is coming on another night. I also like to get him involved in making the plan. And yea, it saves a lot on groceries.
I've never done this, but I do love the idea. We usually just buy what we think is a week's worth of veggies and meats with a few meal ideas and wing it. I bet this would help me to try new recipes....better planning!
We really try in my house to do this. but it doesn't work sometimes for us.
In my house growing up, we always had the "Whats for dinner?", "I don't know, what do you want?" Conversation.
so I'm trying to make it better, but finding the time to sit down and plan what everyone wants is a challenge. No excuse though.
so the kids can complain for several nights in advance?
good idea to plan it. Too much food is thrown away.
