The 5 Least Annoying Kids TV Shows
This is a guest post from Lindsay Blogs.
Yes, I’m one of those parents that allows my children to watch *gasp* television. There are many kids’ TV shows, though, that are painfully annoying and I cringe every time they come on the screen. The shows listed below are, in my opinion, the least annoying ones made for children.
The Fresh Beat Band
I find myself constantly singing the songs from The Fresh Beat Band. Shout, Twist, Kiki and Marina are seriously talented and really know how to rock it out! Their music is super catchy and the show is generally just silliness. They teach kids about the musical instruments, the sounds they make, who plays them and what part they play in music. I’m a little upset they replaced Marina with a new actress without consulting me, but I’ll let that slid. This time. If they replace Twist, there will be problems.
Olivia
Honestly, Olivia cracks me up. She is full of spunk and just makes these comments that you would never expect out of a 6 and 3/4 year old. Not only that, but she is quite positive she can do anything. My favorite thing about her, though, is that even if she fails at what she’s attempting, she doesn’t pout, mope or otherwise teach my kids to be sore losers. That, my friends, is gold compared to that little bald jerk that whines about everything (if you’re a preschooler’s parent, you know who I’m talking about). Also, I find myself yelling, “OLIVIA BUM BUM BUM OLIVIA!” randomly throughout the day. My coworkers appreciate it.
Dino Dan

The idea behind the show is simple….or not. Dan is a 10 year old kid who is a dinosaur chaser. The only thing is…nobody else can see the dinosaurs except Dan. It took me forever to figure that out. I thought that everyone else just turned around at the wrong moment and didn’t see the gigantic T-Rex walk away. I felt dumb. Whatever.
The purpose of the show is to teach kids about dinosaurs, but also teach them skills of deduction. Not tax deduction – common sense deduction. Watching Dan explain his hypothesis, gather evidence and finally prove his theories using scientific experiments is just plain cool. I’ve learned something new with each episode.

{Editor's Note} Are there any television shows that your children watch that are the least annoying? What about the most annoying?

I'm sorry, but I hate Dino Dan and so does my son, lol. It's definitely my least favorite show, pretty much of all time.
I am still boycotting children's tv until they bring back Square One TV, 321 Contact and Wishbone.
@ProudToBeAChristianFruitcake@xanga - LOVED Square 1 TV!! 3-2-1 Contact was great as well, but never heard of Wishbone.
@ProudToBeAChristianFruitcake@xanga - I LOVED Wishbone when I was younger! I even had a talking Wishbone stuffed dog :D
I think the most annoying show would probably be ICarly (If they still have it on?).. Least annoying?.... I wouldnt know, I find them almost all annoying.. I miss old kids tv shows!
Dino Dan is about a mental child without proper adult supervision or correction. Yelling at a teacher that a chicken egg is a dinosaur egg then hatching it on a football field far enough away to be kidnapped by anyone passing by.
yall should give qubo a try. it also comes on ion network. seriously.
wow... I didn't expect to see fresh beat band first... That has to be the MOST annoying one for me So of course my daughter loves it... lol I don't care much for imagination movers either. Too bad my daughter likes it... Least annoying that she watches would probably have to be Yo Gabba Gabba and Ni-hao Kai Lan
@VeilSdeGTO@xanga - Think we can get a petition going? I miss George Frankly and Pat Tuesday
WHAT?! Olivia is a SHOW? I just have all the books! What channel? Where have I been??
And seriously, THANK YOU for the Caillou Comment. I remember Parents magazine recommended this show as one of the "better" choices for your kids, but it annoys the crap out of me. Too bad my almost 3 year old loves it. *Gag*
I also hate Dino Dan. There is something wrong w/ that kid. Seeing things (the dinosaurs) at his age should be matched up w/ some kind of mental instability he is just a really super weird kid. I do like the Fresh Beat band, I didn't at first but it grew on me; I'd love to take my LO to see them in concert.
@ProudToBeAChristianFruitcake@xanga - I LOVED Wishbone. =]
what a bout waybaloo? i don't get this show, characters with big, bulging eyes and they meditate and float. creepy!
i like super why. very educational!
I find the Fresh Beat Band mildly annoying although the white guy who raps is nice to look at :c. Dino Dan is weird but I don't find it annoying. I have no real opinion on Olivia. The BackYardigans is a cute show and I like watching it with my nephew. I don't think I've ever watched The Imagination Movers.
@ProudToBeAChristianFruitcake@xanga - WISHBONE FTW!
The Upside Down Show! That's one of the few shows I can watch with my 16-month and 4-year old nieces without feeling the overwhelming need to see zombies eating peoples' brains just to feel normal again. It's cute and inventive, and doesn't have a totally annoying theme song. And they love it...especially my 16-month old niece. She also loves music and dancing, so is naturally drawn to The Fresh Beat Band. I tolerate that show for her...but, man, is it goofy...
the fresh beat band is the show of choice for when i'm babysitting. probably only because of twist... whatever works, right? ;)
Who's the little bald jerk? My guess is Little Bill? I mean, he's the only bald kid I know.
the fresh beat band is less annoying than Yo Gabba Gabba?
i disagree.
I can't stand Dino Dan. I'm sorry but that kid is really obnoxious. It is not one of my sons favorites either. I do really like the Backyardigans. I think they are cute and I don't mind sitting and watching it with him.
