We use a chore chart inside a sheet protector on the refrigerator with a dry erase marker so we can reuse it week after week.
Surprising how something so useful goes so unused. Better than than drawing straws or getting the crappier chore because you're not the favorite.
I like this! Now that I have a new grandson whom I'll be caring for part of the time, it gives me something to think about, and talk about with his parents, when he's old enough to pick up toys and things. One easy thing I did when my kids were young was purchase those kid sized sleeping bags and put them on top of their beds. Then, when they'd get up for school, all they had to do was zip them up, put their pillow in the right place, and voila, a nice looking bed!
my mom used to do this when me and my brother were kids. She'd make one for every month. and since she was into Stamp 'n Up she stamped cute pictures as the chores and made it look fun. (:
When I lived in my apartment I had one of these except I didn't do the reusable concept, I'd print it out weekly.
My chores were Pink. His were Blue. And we would cross them off as they were accomplished.
I would definitely do your idea of the reusable one should I ever live with someone again.
Basically I cleaned one or two rooms a day (depending on the size of the room) and when I say clean I mean deep clean and I'd pick up the rest of the house. So each day had it's own room which then had it's own cleaning needs, typically my chorse would be the deep clean of that room and his would be odds and ends needed elsewhere around the house.
I should do this at home.
This is such a cute idea! Of all the times I've written on windows with dry erase markers, it never occurred to me to write task lists on the glass of a picture frame with a fill-in sheet. Glass is glass, yeah?
