This Barbie is the one I have dreamed of. A "bad ass", a rebel, an open-minded and cool chick. This Barbie is also ticking off a lot of parents who fail to see that she's only being sold on the
Barbie Collector website, and costs $50.
This doll is nothing to get worked up over, I mean, are you really going to buy your little girl a doll at $50 a pop? Probably not.
The Tokidoki pink hair and silver heel wearing Barbie has several tattoos on her chest and a cute little pet named Bastardino. You can see from the picture that she's cool, hip, edgy.
But, this isn't the first time Mattel has released a collector doll with ink.

Meet the Hard Rock Cafe Barbie, released in 2009. She originally sold for $79.96. Fishnet stockings, tattoos... and is that a bustier with black lace trim?!
They are collector dolls, meant for people who never remove the dolls from their packaging, not for little girls to pretend they are mommies or doctors.
Go look at some of the collector dolls, some of them are awesome!
What do you think of Mattel's latest addition?

this is awesome :D
Sweet!
very cool!
i don't care what anyone says, i love barbie. this one is fantastic! i played with barbies as a little girl, and if i ever have a kid who wants to play with barbies, more power to him or her.
barbie gets a bad rap for her unrealistic proportions (and general anatomical incorrectness), her wardrobe, her kazillion professions and cars. personally, i find it highly foolish to find such fault in a doll. grown women (and men, to some extent) projecting their own issues on an inanimate object intended for children's play is silly.
if you don't like this particular barbie or barbie in general, don't buy them. pseudo-intellectual moaning over them isn't productive.
I heard about this on the news last night. And I completely fell in loveee. i even want one now.
Dude there was a tattoo barbie about 10 years ago. She came with stick on tattoos. And I think a tramp stamp haha.
Weird. A barbie I like.
So cool!
@mycontinuity@xanga - hellyea!! hahaha
@carydeeluxe@xanga - I agree with you on that.
OP:That's an awesome Barbie. ;D They always put such beautiful details into it and sometimes I almost wish I could have all the money in the world to be a Barbie collector.
i <3 Barbie.. have since I was a little girl..and I fully intend on getting my daughter Barbies.
My god-daughter is 14 and she still loves Barbies.. but now she is in the collectors phase, so we did buy her a special one for her birthday.. and I actually bought her the one with the Tattoos.. it looks even better in real life!
i LOVE these barbies :) I just don't find it ok to name the dog, BASTARDino but then again that probably wasn't they were trying to do but that was the first thing i thought about when i saw his name.
OMG I LUV BARBIES. These are beauuutiful. So unique I luv. If I had extra monies and there weren't homeless peepul in the world I would own alll of these. What wrong with fishnet stockings/cello and a girl with a skull shirt/ OMG HER CACTUS COSTUME FOR THE DOGGIE IS THE CUTEST THING EVAAA
It doesn't bother me. I'm not full of tattoos but I do have 1 and plan to get a few more. My children see it, we've talked about it, I love my tattoo and can't wait to get the others.
Kewl. Tattooed chicks are hot! I don't play with barbies, only with women, but I don't see what harm they are, especially since mostly grown women are probably buying them.
@xjadersx@xanga - I was going to say this. I remember the stick-on tattoos. You got some for Barbie, and some for yourself!
haha, how ool!
