Huge Birth Control Recall
Qualitest Pharmaceuticals has issued a huge recall of birth control pill packets. Here is the list of pills this recall effects.
- Cyclafem 7/7/7
- Cyclafem1/35
- Emoquette
- Gildess FE 1.5/30
- Gildess FE 1/20
- Orsythia
- Previfem
- Tri-Previfem
To check the specific lots being recalled, see this list.
During production, the factory put the wrong pills in the wrong places, meaning if you use one of these pills, you could be taking the WRONG pills during the month, making them ineffective and at risk for pregnancy.

Mine was so similar with a name in it it freaked me out.. Then I double checked and its not *phew*
What a horrible situation! Thankfully I am currently not taking any, but I was always sure to check my packages every month to make sure the different colored pills were in the proper spots.
@feelslikejuly@xanga - I know, huh!?! People are quick to sue everyone nowadays. This is all the more reason to be protected more than one way.
well if you are a regular birth control user you should know that the brown "placebo" pills are not supposed to be taken in the first week. so, therefore I don't think there should be too much of an issue. however, yeah of all the things to get recalled birth control is a life-changing one
Birth control pills are not ones I would want the company screwing up. Luckily I'm on the nuvaring.
glad to not be taking that form of birth control... never did like being on the pill though!
