Nursing Bra Boob Rant
So I'll be having this baby in roughly 5 weeks. FIVE WEEKS! I realized this last week and thought, "OH S#!T, maybe I need to go buy the stuff for my hospital bag and get it ready!"
Included in that list was a nursing bra. I find everything else on my list, no problem. But when I get to the nursing bras I'm stumped. THEY HAVE NO NURSING BRAS IN AN A CUP! And by "they", I mean Target.
What, did you think EVERY pregnant woman was blessed with big jobknockers? No. False. You were lied to.
With Preston my boobs grew maybe a tiny tiny bit, but nothing impressive. I promise. And then they pretty much deflated after that, so I was still stuck with A cups. Nothing a boob job can't fix, but that's neither here nor there right now.
I'm pretty upset there were no A cup nursing bras. Yeah, I'm sure I could find a store online that sells them but I'm not spending an arm and a leg (i.e. more than $20) for one. So I just went ahead and bought a B cup, maybe they'll fit into it! *sigh*
Dear stores that sell maternity wear,
Some girls are a 36A pre-pregnancy. Some girls stay a 36A their whole pregnancy and afterwards. YOU CAN CATER TO US AS WELL DAMMIT! Oh, and I hear a good friend can't find them in her size and she's....eh....got some pretty big tatas. CATER TO BIG TATA'D LADIES AS WELL PLEASE!
Signed,
Small Tit Bizzle
Did you have difficulty finding REASONABLY PRICED nursing bras in your size?

I want to say that Motherhood Maternity had some in an A cup. I found that their nursing bra's were super reasonably priced (20.00 with an underwire! Less without!) and super comfortable! I would highly recommend at least checking into it! (They have a website that would tell you if they had A cup sizes or not!)
@toodles103@xanga - thanks! i figured if i end up being able to nurse (i had problems with my first child) then i will definitely look into buying one from motherhood maternity. i've heard great things about their bras :)
I actually bought my nursing bra at the hospital. I didn't have any because I couldn't find any that fit right. Lucky for me the hospital had some in the size I needed but they were the sports bra type. Not that it mattered to me, but just a warning/thought.. Good luck!!!
Yup. I have the same problem. I ended up buying B cups, which work fine in the beginning when I'm all engorged, but not so much after I shrink back down. After about the 6th month of nursing I went back to regular bras and just pulled them to the side to nurse. Worked fine.
They had all sizes at the hospital, but those were more than you are looking to pay. Motherhood also has a wide range of sizes at a good price. I definitely recommend them. I feel you, but I am at the other end of the spectrum. I ended up being a 32DDD/F. Stores assume that if your breasts are that big, you must have a big band size as well. I've given up on finding bras under $30.
I never thought someone could be an A while pregnant. That's soooo cool! So, basically, the kid won't know the difference from yours or your husbands!
I was trying to think of pranks and then I started to feel gross.@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - you do know a cups aren't completely flat? lol. i'm only a 36A but there is a huge difference in my chest and my husbands. and noticeable as well.
@beebizzle@xanga - :-oooo whhhhhaat?
I'm sorry.
I bought one, I repeat one, amazing nursing bra because they were $50+. I waited until 4 months to buy it. Before that I wore nursing tanks. I wash it every few days (more when I was leaking more, but there are some great reusable nursing pads(http://hyenacart.com/onestore.php?vid=3046&category=18) and wear a tank on laundry day. But now, I've shrunk since she's weaning and it is too big in the cup size. My LO is now a year old. I'm debating buying another nursing bra since she's still breastfeeding, or just getting a regular bra.
My recommendation for nursing tanks is Bravado. My post bf boobs actually look relatively normal in it.
This made me LOL!
I hope all works out with breastfeeding for you!
Im a 34/36 B and I couldnt find any! I looked at a whole bunch of places and NONEEEE. I didnt look at a maternity clothing store though. I just wore nursing tanks with nursing pads until the leaking went down and returned to normal bras which wasnt as big of a deal as I thought it would be. Sighhhh, I guess I should buy some nursing bras in the next couple months as well... maybe I will find some my size and reasonably priced this time.
well you havent had your milk come in yet so yes, maybe it'll fit =] I have the opposite problem I wear a 42DD and I cant find one either. =(
If your a 36A, I'm sure you can get away with a 34B! I know most people don't like doing that, but its only for a few months :)
I liked Targets tank top with the clips... I don't really wear bf bras... I got one at Motherhood and I didn't like how it fit. I got one from Target, and the wire part broke through, so now I just wear that one at night.
I did think it was funny at one place I went, the sizes were d and higher... some of us aren't that big haha
Gap.com has some good ones.
Girls, feel free to post pics of boobs :)
You look more boobablicious than a an A in your profile picture!!!! Your cleavage looks better than my D cleavage!
I was able to find a good nursing bra at JCPenney's when I couldn't find one anywhere else. I'm a 36DD right now while nursing. Bras for big-boobed people also tend to be hard to come by. Have you tried there?
I agree with what your friend needs. I can't find normal bras in my size, much less nursing bras. I had to buy some horrible Walmart ones after my son was born and I hated them and they never fit right, but couldn't afford the time and expense of ordering online and hoping they'd fit and all that... ugh. I don't know what these companies are thinking! They'd sell more bras if they made them in more sizes!
I wear a 30E, and like Erika_Steele said, it's also impossible to find larger cups with small band sizes. I already have to spend $60+ on normal bras, I'm terrified what will happen if I ever need to find nursing bras
I think people have problems with bras when they're on either end of the size spectrum. In Europe they have tons of different sized bras. I don't know why the US is so stuck on selling only a small range of sizes. Ugh. So silly.
@MsButterworth311@xanga - it's all about those angles. LOL. it does look like they're a lot bigger than an A but i promise they aren't hahaha.
@alayshaj@xanga - they had plenty of B cups at target! how far along are you??
@famousMONSTERR@xanga - well the 34 part of it is too tight so i got a 36B and it's a little loose the top part of my boobs but it fits ok.
@OsuwarInuyasha@xanga - i bought a tank top from there too, with the clips. and i also bought these overnight sports bra like nursing bras too. idk...if it works out i'll shop around for something different haha.
@x_Beautiful_LIE__x@xanga - i don't get it. they make plenty of bras for the in betweeners but none for us small chested or big chested women!! i haven't checked jcpenny yet. any time i've looked at regular bras they are expensive so i figured "specialty" bras would be worse. ha.
