10 Day Old Baby Dies in Spin Cycle
I can't BELIEVE this! We need to test people for sanity and drugs before allowing them to have kids! I mean seriously?! THIS KID WAS 10 DAYS OLD AND PUT IN THE SPIN CYCLE OF A WASHING MACHINE BECAUSE HER "MOTHER" WAS HIGH. This infuriates me to no end:
An Oklahoma woman has been charged with felony child neglect after her 10-day-old baby was killed in a washing machine.
Lyndsey Fiddler, 26, was high on drugs when she put her newborn daughter, Maggie May Trammel, in the washing machine along with the dirty laundry and started a washing cycle, local station NewsOn6 reported.
The baby’s great aunt, Rhonda Coshatt, was also in the house at the time and realized something was wrong when she saw Fiddler passed out and unresponsive on a chair with the child nowhere to be found. After hearing a clunking noise coming from the washer, she opened the lid and found the dead infant.
Fiddler, who is being held on $100,000 bail, tested positive for a variety of drugs, including methamphetamine, amphetamines, benzodiazepine and opiates.Under questioning, she told police that she wrapped her daughter in a blanket and gave her a pacifier, but was unable to remember how the baby ended up in the washing machine and went through an entire washing cycle.
Fiddler’s dangerous drug habit spurred her relatives toward an unsuccessful attempt to have her parental rights stripped when she was four months pregnant.
This is not Fiddler's first run-in with the law, the Tulsa World reported. She had previously been convicted of larceny and assault and battery, and has received numerous traffic violations for speeding, driving without a license and failing to put her other kids in child safety seats.
Although Fiddler currently only faces child neglect charges, prosecutors are looking to build the strongest possible case against her.
"We anticipate there may be additional charges based on the information the state anticipates it will be receiving," Bartesville District Attorney Rick Esser told the Tulsa World. This woman needs to die!
Does this make you incredibly angry as well?

@cheesecakeloverk@xanga - it was the drugs that made her look so old. when I first saw this story it infuriated me which is why i wrote about it. now it makes me sad. that woman needs the death penalty i still think. she KILLED someone. her CHILD. but see what drugs do to you?
@millionofstars@xanga - agreed. thanks for reading my post!
what a freaking dumbass.
She got that look.
Poor baby... why have a kid in the first place if you're not going to be a responsible mother?!
Just.. no words. No words.
Holy shit!!! This left me speechless.
I feel so awful for the woman who found the baby in the washing machine.. It breaks my heart to read this; she must have been devastated to see it. ):
That woman deserves a MUCH worse punishment than neglect.
This definitely angers me >=[ People like her deserve to be shot. That's just my feelings towards parents like this douche bag.
i always said woman should ge drug tested before getting their baby at the hospital
It makes me very very sad.
Mom sucks.
you're no better than her, saying she "needs" to die.
wishing death on people is just so shitty.
anyways.. this story is awful :( i wish we could control terrible things like this in the world. she is an unfit mother and didn't deserve the blessing of having such a beautiful gift.
@peacelivelovemayy@xanga - she's going to be charged with more. they're only holding her on neglect. they're gathering all the evidence and getting their case together before they tack on the rest of the charges.
This is unbelievable!
This is terribly sad. Unfortunately, these situations really have no clear solutions. You'd think we should just be able to test mothers and fathers and take their kids away if they're addicts or abusive. But who are "we" to do so? It's not that easy.
This situation may be outrageous, terrible, and rightfully infuriating but, to the author of this blog entry, saying "she needs to die!" is just plain immature. Oh yup, this woman killed her baby so she needs to die! An eye for an eye, people?...whole world blind?...shouldn't we know this by now?
Why hate this woman? This stranger? Just pray and hope for the best that can possibly come out of this horrible situation.
uh yeah she clearly needs help and therapy but she doesn't deserve to die. no one deserves to die. don't confuse death with punishment.
that is so incredibly sad. I honestly cannot even believe this.
that is incredibly sad and sickening...i agree. But to say someone deserves to die is a bit much. We all deserve to die; whether we've killed someone or not but because we've all done something messed up in life. I know this isn't a popular opinion but we don't even know her life story. And she was on drugs. It is a shame and a devastating story but we're playing judge by saying anyone deserves to die.
...people today.
i dont understand how you can have a child but still do drugs and neglect your newborn child.
