Almost 50% of Teens Don't See a "Great Risk" in Heavy Daily Drinking
Confession: The first time I had a sip of alcohol was the summer in between high school graduation and freshman year of college. I've never smoked a cigarette and I had no idea what marijuana smelled like until I walked into the common room of my dorm room sophomore year to find a suitemate rolling joints and then hot boxing the bathroom.
Needless to say, we didn't really get along.
Yes, I understand not everyone has grown up in the same drug and alcohol free bubble I did. But I was still surprised at a recent study about substance abuse put out by Drugfree.org and the MetLife Foundation of about 2,500 high schoolers.
