However I am aware that with the last SDI check they mail a form for Paid Family Leave (PFL) baby bonding time that I can take and get additional pay for 6 weeks. I would love, love, love an additional six weeks home with my handsome baby boy. I feel like I just left work yesterday, and here it is almost time to go back.
My question is, does anybody know how I inform my employer of this additional six weeks baby bonding time? If with the application they mail me something for my employer, or if I just tell them. I don't want them to come at me saying I can't take it, when everything I've read shows clearly that I can.
Has anyone else been able to use PFL in addition to SDI? Any advice or input would be appreciated.
