Take Some Tummy Time for Yourself
I'm not sure when or why I started doing this but every night just before I turn out the lights and get into bed I take a few minutes in front of the mirror to check out my belly.
It is amazing the changes I have started picking up on almost daily. Even if I don't see noticeable growth every day it's always funny to see how my little man has positioned himself.
The poor guy is running out of room fast but he still seems to be enjoying kicking back with his feet towards my bladder. I put a hand on my belly and get a little laugh at the thought of him and his acrobatics throughout the day.... and sometimes I get a little kick in return.
I think this time has been really good for us both. I talk to him every night to tell him about his family who he'll be meeting soon and his daddy who is overseas. I tell him how big he's getting and how excited I am to have him in the world. It's also a time for me to wonder what kind of person my son will be, and to look forward to our life together and be thankful.
You have to take moments like these because they're not always handed to you and they can be taken away so quickly. Just taking two minutes out of your day to appreciate your body and your growing belly, and give yourself a minute to stop worrying and just be happy is so important. I think it will help me remember my pregnancy in a way that blogs and pictures can't...and it helps me to enjoy it, too.
So when you're getting ready for bed, or getting up in the morning, or doing whatever you do, try taking a second to check yourself out and appreciate it all. I think you'll have a better time with it than you realize.
Did you take time out of your day to check out your tummy and talk with your baby?

I check it out everyday in the morning. Its crazy HOW big he and I are getting! lol!
My hands are on my belly soooo often. I love feeling where she's sitting at different points, and I love feeling her move around. I love seeing how big we are getting, and my only physical complaint is my belly button because my old navel ring scars are now on my belly instead of hidden. :P
Of course, there are plenty of discomforts now and then, but I know it will all be worth it for my little girl in November (though that doesn't make the heartburn I've had for the last couple days any less miserable. Hehe).
lol... My hand is on my tummy all day... This little stinker need rearranging often. lol Seem's he never stops moving!
