  • What Are 5 Items You Can't Live Without?

    Yay it's Friday!!

How was everyone's week? We hope you're all doing well and gearing up for a fun, relaxing weekend.

We love having each of you in our Momaroo community! We want to encourage you to get to know each other, so to achieve this end we have Friday Free For Alls.

Here's how it works - we ask a question, and after you comment, drop by the site of the commenter above you and say hello, friend or subscribe to them. They'll appreciate that you took the time to drop them a line and hopefully you'll get to meet a new friend or two.

Today's question: What are 5 (beauty, health, baby, food, household, etc.) items  you use all the time or can't live without? Please let us know what products you love/highly recommend other readers to check out.

Lip balm.  I favor Carmex to most anything else but I tend to buy Burt's Bees (my son is 2 and likes to use it.  Burt's Bees is organic so if he eats it, it's not a big deal).

Wipes.  (I have a messy child.)

    Extra pants. (For messy child.)

Ouchless ponytail holder.  (My hair is CRAZY.)

    $5, cash.  (I don't like being broke.)

I don't carry a purse.  I have an awesome hiking backpack that I carry around and it is so much easier than trying to handle his bag, my bag, him and whatever else I have to carry from the car. One bag, on my back and my arms are free!

    In no particular order:

Rosebud lip balm (winter dry lips is awful)
Coke zero (I have a serious addiction)
    fleece Gator blanket (Go Gators!)
    Vitamins (I feel very sluggish when I don't take them. I'm sure that's a mental thing. ;))
Mini desk fan (I get hot so quickly, while my coworkers are always comfortable with the temp)

Now that I am a new mom to a 1 year old, I couldn't live without: 1. Fisher Price booster seat. It cost less than $25 bucks at Target and it goes with us everywhere. We don't even own a high chair. 2. Plastic rubbery bib thing someone bought me, it makes cloth bibs seem ridiculous. Why would you choose to stain treat after every meal when you could just rinse it off in the sink? 3. Take N Toss silverware and tupperware. I used to be organized. But let's face it, diaper bags can be a bottomless pit for something as small as a baby spoon. I lose them all the time but these are so inexpensive that it doesn't break the bank. 4. Baby monitor. My parents mock me for it, but the walls in our house are surprisingly sound-proof. I need it for my own peace of mind. I left the monitor at my in-laws house once and I must have checked on my daughter 5 times that night. I just couldn't sleep knowing that she might be screaming and I didn't comfort her. (Yes, I'm one of THOSE moms.) 5. Clinique All About Eyes. I can't afford the extensive Clinique collection I had before I gave birth, but I refuse to give up this lotion. There is no better eye lotion out there, especially for a new mom.
