  • Where Do You Buy Your Kids' Clothing?

I have always wondered where everyone gets cute little dresses and what not. We buy our clothing from The Children's Place, although I don't always like their style. I love the t-shirts and jeans they have there. Plus I buy online and use a coupon.

We buy pj's from Walmart or Target, cause we like the ones with princesses. I get Carters from Target or the Carter store in GA which we do not have one here.  I will buy some shorts from Target.

I will not shop secondhand. Personal issue from my child hood, but I am not against it either.

When we were broke, I would buy clothing for the kids every time I could when it was $1 for a shirt. I never spent more then $3 on the kids' shirts and $5 on pants. I did well.  But now I don't bother, I just buy what we like. It is odd how your lifestyle changes. But since money make over is about to start (stopped for taxes cause we already committed the taxes) I am going to go back to watching how much I spend.

So anyhow, where to do buy your kids clothing?

I adore the children's clothing at Baby Gap and Gap Kids. Their sales are always awesome, especially the sales after Christmas where I stock up on gifts for family and friends.

I also shop for children's clothing at TJ Maxx. They always have a cute outfits for great prices.

Kohl's, their clearance racks for babies/kids clothing can be UH-MAZING! I mean a dollar for pants sometimes, a lot of times shopping in wrong season of course, I have found tons of clothes for my daughter or nieces name brand at 90% off.

Or when shopping at regular stores, dilliards penny's, etc. I just go to the clearance racks and usually can find a great deal, and still buy new. Although I'm not against second-hand clothes, I have no issue with it, I just find that I can get awesomely cute clothes for the same price as used most of the time cheaper.

I used to be a huge Gymbo fan but I haven't bought anything there in a long time. I do like TCP and Gap sometimes depending on the sale.

we spend too much money on gymboree. . but i've never paid more than $10 an outfit there we just have toooooo many of them lol

Everywhere I see something cute and it's on sale. Except babies r us...even their sale prices are overpriced.

We buy most of our clothes from the thrift store and consignment sales.  It is much, much, much better for the environment (and doesn't involve sweatshop labor) than buying new and cheaper too!  Plus I can find girls clothes that look like GIRL clothes and not skanky, wanna-be adult clothes.  On the rare occassions I buy new I buy from Lands End, Gymboree and LL Bean but only on major sale.  I also buy my oldest daughter jeans from Justice occassionally because they carry plus sizes.

Target, Children's Place and Old Navy.  Literally everything in my son's closet came from one of those three places.  I hit up end of the year clearance sales and outfit him for the next  year on the cheap!

Target & TJ Maxx are my favorite places.  I also go to some of the consignment stores where I live, depending on where I go, some of the stuff I buy is new or barely used.

if i ever have kids, they are so wearing crewcuts by j. crew.

I love TCP's pj's.  Otherwise, I mostly shop at Carter's (great sales, plus coupons), with occasional visits to Old Navy and Gap sales.  In the beginning I did not really care about the cost, but I am trying to be more aware of my spending.

Old Navy, Walmart, and Target.  I have bought from TCP before, but it's usually just pjs.  They seem to be more expensive than they are worth.

I've seen some pretty cute stuff from Cotton On and Fox.  Apparently these days you can dress your kid up in a crocodile hoodie... makes you wish you were a parent already (for now I'll just ooh and ahh with my girl friends)!

I love Crazy 8, which is a cheaper line of Gymboree. www.crazy8.com

I also love www.naartjie.com.  I don't like their boy's stuff, but their girl's stuff is too cute, especially for dresses.

I also like www.littlemissmatched.com and www.babylegs.com for accessories, although Little Miss Matched does have some clothes, too.

Those are my splurge stores, although I rarely buy anything that's not on sale.  Otherwise, I shop clearance racks at Target, Gap, and Old Navy.  I also shop at the outlet mall in St. Louis, which has a Children's Place and Carter's Outlet.  I don't hardly buy anything that's not on sale or I don't have a coupon for.

I shop mostly at Target for my daughter, I'll occasionally buy a t-shirt or pair of pants from the Disney store.  I haven't liked their style of pants or dresses lately, so I mostly just buy t-shirts there.  I'll also buy a few things from Macy's on the clearance rack.  I've been able to get a few dresses from there for really cheap.  I'll also buy a few things at Old Navy, sometimes their prices are really good on things, otherwise I shop sale racks there too.
No matter where I shop though I try to wait for a sale, unless the regular price is really good.

We love Peri's Ponchos, easy to wear & super cute. Got them for my kids, then started giving them as gifts. They're great

I LOVE 2nd hand stores and consignment shops too. A friend of mine runs one so we happily give her a lot of business. The other stores in my town are really picky about what clothes they sell so I almost always score brand new brand name clothes for almost nothing.
we dont shop at walmart/gap/old navy. But Costco carries a lot of Carter's stuff for crazy cheep prices.
Other then that our little guys have 5 or 6 huge bins of hand-me-downs in brand new condition from my aunt so they are not in need of clothes often.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Mexx Kids. Their quality is amazing and the designs from newborn to 2 years are really cute. My daughter is four now so they don't have that big a range for me to choose from. Baby Gap and Old Navy also has great outfits. I live in Canada so not much choices for children clothing here.

  • WheeItsMe@xanga

The Childrens Place is my favorite...I just bought 24 items there for $45 at the outlet. I was happy. I also like Baby Gap and Gymboree, but the boy sales at gymboree are never good. I buy PJs at TCP, Old Navy, and sometimes Walmart.

  • Nawnaa@xanga

Target, I also love OshKosh Bigosh and Caters outlets...

    And gymboree.
