My Yo Gabba Gabba Christmas Hunt: Where Can I Find More...

While browsing Amazon I came across the "Yo Gabba Gabba: Music is...Awesome!" cd. Now my son enjoys the show and is the child of two musicians, so of course I wanted to find out what all the cd had to offer. I know that they do both fun songs with the characters and have guest bands come on and do songs. The thing has always been that they do cheesy 80's techno mixes and some of them are just that, dull cheesy and off beat.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the songs were great! They were a mix of both character songs, (originals and remixes), and bands. My son LOVED the cd and couldn't stop dancing! I borrowed it from the library just to be safe and now plan on purchasing it through Amazon for just $5! It is going to make an inexpensive and great present for his second Christmas.

This event brought me to thinking, what else do they have that is branded with the Yo Gabba Gabba name? In my search I found surprisingly little. Why is such a popular show only selling things at Kohl's and Target? I've seen some things at WalMart and bought them instantly, but that was a rare occasion, that actually only happened once. I've seen some toys, but very few. There were some things on their official site but there really wasn't too much to offer.

Have you been having problems finding your favorite kids show products? Do you have any tips on finding these products?

I don't know when you last checked, but my local Target and Wal-Mart have quite a few different Yo Gabba Gabba items. My daughter loves them, so I pay attention.

I have seen a mega block set, some stuffed figures from the show (Emily has the blue one and loves it) as well as some of the little educational toys for the smaller kids. I say just keep an eye out and you might see some more. Good luck.

I got my son a stuffed Plex at Wal Mart for his birthday. He got a Brobee and Plex hoodie for Christmas, I'm pretty sure my mom got them at Wal Mart also. Wal Mart also has Nick Jr. coloring books, so I bet you could find those too. I got him some Brobee PJs last Spring Break at Wal Mart too.

i don't even have kids, i am 24, and i watch you gabba gabba. lol. it is SO AWESOME. broby is my favorite because his arms are so funny . . .

There is plenty of Yo Gabba Gabba stuff at ToysRUs. I got my girls the action figures they have.

i also found a bunch of stuff at toys r us... but i think target had the most in july (my son's bday was in july)... he especially loved the vibrating muno ball and the muno microphone (which plays snippets of yo gabba gabba songs)... he uses that thing ALL the time.

My nephew loves Yo Gabba Gabba so far, and my brother (his dad) is obsessed with it because it was created by someone who was in the Aquabats (his fav band when he was in late middle school/high school), plus it has guests who were also in the Aquabats. I have seen a good amount of toys at ToysRUs.
Thanks for this post though, because I am going to tell my brother about it so he can get it for my nephew for Christmas.

I LOVE Y GABBA GABBA!
It was invented by the leader of the aquabats, a popular ska band. The show is based around songs he wrote for his kids as they were growing up!
I watch it with my 8 month old nephew, and he loves it! He doesn't dance to it yet, but just sits and stares... they have yo gabba gabba stuff around here at Target, Meijer, and Toys r' us. You can get a DJ Lance Rock Boom Box, that is very cool, also there is a dancing brobee (the little green one)!

My son had a Yo Gabba Gabba party for his 2nd birthday. I had a hard time finding stuff, too. Toys R Us had a good bit as did Target. I couldn't find anything hardly at Walmart!

I think that different Walmarts have different things. I had a hard time finding anything but small stuffed dolls and a dancing mechanical toy. I'll search toy r us though because many have mentioned it.

I love the show because I grew up in the 80's and my husband is indeed a GIANT ska fan. The show's music is basically a tribute to the indie music scene. My husband started a band in his middle school years which has since transformed, renamed and eventually changed completely. The leader just started a new band that is now actually gaining a lot of popularity. Check them out!
I think I love it because it have little hints of the 80's like the drawing section reeks of Bill Cosby's Picture Pages and the guests are awesome! I love the Jack Black episode and am hoping to find his epic redo of the goodbye song on cd at some point!
