Never Cry Over Spilt Food Again, All You Need is this Bowl!
The 16-month-old I baby-sit just loves to throw his food! When he is bored, he throws his food. When he wants to have some fun, he throws his food. When he is mad, he throws his food. When he is happy, he throws his food. And finally, when he is done eating he throws his food (whatever is left over).
The food throwing drives me nuts! I get pretty tired of having to get on my hands and knees all of the time in order to search under the kitchen table for every last piece of thrown food! If only there was a solution…well guess what, there is!
The solution to all of your spilt food problems is a wonderful product called the Loopa Bowl. These bowls are absolutely genius! They use gyroscopic technology to keep food from spilling or being thrown out of them!
The Loopa Bowl is a weighted bowl that has an outer ring that is attached to a second outer ring with hand grips for the little kiddies. When the Loopa Bowl is set upright for eating purposes it is open like any other normal bowl but the magic happens when a child picks the bowl up to chuck their food. When your child picks their bowl up to toss their grub the outer ring swivels, covering the open portion of the bowl to prevent spillage!
I think these are the only bowls I am going to purchase when I have kids!

Seems to me that the cool factor would encourage bowl throwing... I know I'd want to throw it to see what happens! This looks really incredible! I will have to try one when I have a toddler! Of course there is NO bowl that can prevent a child from throwing a handful of food....is there?

@furyyes@xanga - i totally have those bowls, and not a fan at all! I thought they'd be super convenient when I got them, but they don't stick for very long on any surface no matter what you try... and my daughter just picks them up and throws them. The only thing i like about them is they have lids, so they're easy to use for on the go. but as for the suction cup part it stinks
I watched the video, but I'm still wondering if the bowl would stay closed when my 20 month old actually does throw it? Seeing the bowl close isn't going to slow him down when it comes to throwing it across the room and it seems to me, that while flying and spiraling through the air, that at some point, it would open up just right, sending food all over the room? idk, it just doesn't look like it would prevent much when thrown. and it definitely won't prevent my son from sticking his hand into the ball, and then lunging the food. Good attempt, but I'd say it still needs more work.
and just for reference for anyone who might be looking into these sorts of things; the munchkin snack bowls with the lids that are suppose to allow toddlers to put their hand in and pull out food without allowing food to spill.. they do work great, until your toddler learns how to take the whole lid off. My son had them for about a week before learning it's a lot easier and he can grab more at a time, without that wonderful lid on.

I agree with the first commenter. If the bowl is just a ball and doesn't create a mess, then why not throw it? I know I have heard that a lot of the "safety" things we give our kids for our own sanity, like sippy cups that don't spill, etc. just slows down the process of teaching our kids about natural consequences. They learn that any drink/food, etc. can just be tossed around at will, and nothing will break or make anyone sad or get messy.
@BarniganFlarn@xanga - Hmm, that is very interesting, I would never had thought of that. I think if I start researching more now maybe by the time I become pregnant and have kids I will be oh about .0005 percent ready.
with those bowls if you bang them on a surface food comes out everywhere and if your child is anything like mine its bound to happen
I agree with what has been said here. It is cool, but if you throw it what will happen? Eventually you have to teach the little one not to throw things and say no to that type of behavior. It's funny that the video was about the bowl, but everyone was more concerned that the dog was eating chocolate which I thought was bad for dogs anyway. Thanks for sharing.
I've seen this too, and many people hear say "Well you can't tip it... but..."
I agree, the baby or toddler can still THROW the thing! So really it's just a bowl with a ring around it like a half-saturn thing... hey it's useful for saying this looks like saturn with half the planet!

皇位奪回來了，自然就要改年號。於是，明英宗 兼差改年號為天順。從正統年到天順年，打敗仗，殺忠良，寵小人，亂國家，儘是他辦的敗事， 酒店小姐每每讀史到此，不知有多少人氣得 酒店公關直哆嗦。
可正統朝的事畢竟年頭遠了，真正給後 暑假打工世攢下麻煩的，是天順朝。
“天順”麼，按字面意思，自然有風調雨順的意思。 打工從這個意義上說，“天順”朝時代的明朝，運氣還真不 壞，別的且不說，單說綁過明英宗票的瓦剌，那在土木堡創下台北酒店經紀擊敗明朝幾十萬大軍，活捉明朝皇帝偉業的瓦剌首領也先，沒死在大對頭明朝手裏，倒在內戰中被一刀 砍死。到了天順朝時期，瓦剌又和鄰居韃靼打個不停，因此，雖然少了良將於謙，但終天順一朝的邊 酒店境形勢，還算是太平無事。
