Timing of Your Pregnancy: Convenience or Coincidence?
Guest Post by Baby Bump BlogWhile it was extremely convenient that Jenna Elfman found out she was expecting her second child just as she started filming Accidentally on Purpose, a sitcom about a woman (played by Jenna) who gets pregnant after a one-night stand, it was no coincidence.
Jenna revealed that “I knew my character was going to be pregnant the entire first season, so I figured it was a good time to have another kid.”
Did you try to plan your pregnancy for a specific time of year or event?

Thats cute!! My first wasn't planned the 2nd was. and i'm glad the 2nd was, they are 3 years and 3 days apart! we love the age difference.
We're having all of ours 2 years apart. The 2nd one will be born in April, 2010. The first one was May, 2008. Not QUITE 2 years, but close enough. =)
I kind of wish I was due in the summer, because it means buying less expensive maternity clothes, and summer isn't in any part of the flu season. And no snow.
We're trying to plan that the age difference between my son and baby number 2 will be almost exactly 3 years like MJof2G, we'll see how it works out though
I really want my kids to be like, two or three years apart. That's the age difference between my brothers and I and I think it's ideal. Haha but I won't be having kids for several years, I'm only sixteen.
Our first wasn't planned or prevented. Our first & second are 10 days shy of being one year apart. Our second was a surprise. Our third is due in Feb 2010 & will be a few days shy of being 2 years younger than our second. The third was planned.
Well, I didn't plan either of my pregnancies. But both of my kids' due dates were in the summer, so I didn't have two sets of maternity clothes for different seasons.
no.
Cute.
I got pregnant at 16 and had my daughter at 17. My daughter is now 3 and some odd months and I will be 21 in few months and I would really really love to have another child. Partly because I love the feeling and look of being pregnant but mainly because my daughter is getting older now and if I started to have kids now, they will probably be a little over 4 yrs. apart. But with my husband in school full-time and not working, he's graduating next yr. in the summer as a X-Ray Technician and only me working full-time, I just don't see how we're going to be able to support this new baby...financially anyways. So we're thinking about trying next fall. My daughter will probably be 5 by the time I give birth but I want to know that I will at least be somewhat stable before having anymore kids.
My aunt is a teacher, and managed to plan all three of her pregnancies to be in the spring. That way, she has the usual amount of maternity leave, PLUS the summer. So instead of just having 6-8 (I don't remember which one) she had four months with her babies.
This we many years ago. Her oldest Turns 18 in may and is graduating high school. He starts at VTech this fall! (If you can't tell, I am quite proud of my cousin!)
