    it's called plastic surgery, girls.

Surely she realizes the kind of message she is sending to her fans who are normal woman? I don't want to waste ANY of those first few weeks with a new baby, by working like a fiend just to get rid of a belly it took nine months to get. It just seems impractical and unhealthy.

Good for her! She looks great.

She is so gorgeous! Congrats on workin hard for your bod girly!

Oh, look at what she's wearing y'all.  Obviously that corset is cinched so tight she can barely breathe.  I could have looked like that 6 weeks PP if I had that get-up too.

Heidi Klum is super hot. And this is not unusual of her... She did the same thing with the last baby too.

I am what I consider a "normal" person... I fit in my size 0's 4 weeks after my first daughter.. 6 weeks after my 2nd, 6 weeks after my 3rd.. now my son.. I gained 50 pounds- lost the weight by 4 months postpartum... my second son... another 50 pounds gained, and lost by 5 months... with VERY little effort.

I am a normal person, a mother to five kids, and 105 pounds, size 0.  Normal people can be hot after a baby too :)

Anyone could see Heidi is using a corset. And using layered clothes also help to hide the extra bulges.

She's 'fierce.' Ha, I've always wanted to find a right time to say that. I love her. She's gorgeous and is such a hard-worker.

@lauralois@xanga - It's said that she's only had breast augmentation... not that I'm fully sure, but just saying.

  • hamu_mato@xanga

omg, she's really a super mum!

  • ItsNona@xanga

    Maybe she's not really human . . .

  • sugartomyhoney@xanga

@Nina1981@xanga - I think it's great that you are/were able to do that, but that is NOT the norm.  You are very fortunate to have good genes.

It also bears noticing that since she knows what her profession is and that the VS runway show was scheduled for 6 weeks PP, that she probably kept to a really healthy eating and exercise diet. She could just be really fortunate to have not gained much weight other than baby weight that didn't manifest itself on her face, arms, or legs.

I'm with other posters on this: she's pretty much covered up head-to-toe. I bet if you dropped the corset, she'd still have her "mummy tummy" just like most of us do 6 weeks PP.

I'm almost six months postpartum and still trying to lose the last 10-15lbs. But, I'm not about to go crazy trying to lose it...I'd rather spend time with my son. :)

    She looks great though!

It could be because she is a celebrity and has all the personal trainers in the world.  OR she could be like me.  I was back pretty much back to my pre-pregnancy weight when I left the hospital two days after my son was born.  And I was back to my original size two months after.  I lost my pregnancy weight and then some.  But I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones.

I love Heidi and I love that she loves pregnancy and motherhood so much!  I personally think she is a pretty cool role model, especially for working moms.  It's not at all unusual in other parts of the world to corset or cinch up the stomach area post-partum even though it is just catching on here in the US.  Also most Americans gain far more than necessary when pregnant.  I'm sure Heidi stayed healthy the entire time instead of just letting herself go, not to mention that she seems blessed with very good genes.

@cinnamontoastsalinda@xanga - it could just be milk in those boobies, you know...

I guess she just has good genes, and takes good care of her body. Still, she must have worked hard to get rid of the belly. I don't know what type of things she wore in the rest of the show, but if it were all corsets I guess it would be doable (not for me though!!) I say, good for her. And also: it's her job to look good! Glad it's not mine...

I lost most of the weight after the birth (only gained about 22 pounds), but then gained weight while breastfeeding (!!) because I was so hungry all the time... LOL. I've lost that weight now, but still have a flabby stomach - due to lack of excercise. Ah well.
