cloth diapers!!
We recycle and re-use as much as possible, but other than that we're not really "green." Convenience is a little too important to me...it keeps me sane.
We use cloth diapers on our new baby, and we tote him around in a lovely organic wrap carrier.
Our family uses cloth carrier bags rather than plastic ones from the store, and we've given up paper towels for soft cotton kitchen cloths.
I don't have anything to add to the eco-friendly discussion, but I have to say...I LOVE the sign in the pumpkin patch picture of Jessica Alba! Those need to be put up EVERYWHERE!! LOL
things with organic cotton sound good~
Once again I feel the need to point out that 9 times out of 10 RE-USING an existing product is much more environmentally friendly than buying even the most eco-friendly new product. Odd though how you don't see celebs lining up shop thrift stores and freecycling.
And G-diapers suck. Everytime one of my girls had a bm it was ALL OVER the liner and often the cover. At that point you may as well be really green and just use cloth diapers.
Cloth diapers are just as convenient as disposables....
I'm happy to say we've re-used most of our baby products...we were given a crib, changing table...etc. It's much more environmentally friendly to re-use, no matter how eco-friendly the material of a new item is.
There is a great modern crib featured on www.orGLAMic.com today by Spot on Square. Also, search for baby items and lots of great products that are eco-friendly yet beautifully designed will pop up =)
I've gone non-toxic and eco-friendly by using all earth (and kid) safe products. It is actually a means by which we have earned extra income as well. SO... anyone else want to know more send me a message.
Bubbelcat has a great point too. Bring on the re-use!
