Alert: Maclaren Recalls 1 Million Strollers!
Guest post by Baby Bump BlogMaclaren has announced that anyone who bought a stroller from the company in the last 10 years will need to contact the company to order special hinge covers, due to 12 reported cases of fingertip amputations because of children sticking their fingers in the stroller's hinges.
We hope Spice Girl Geri Halliwell got the memo (luckily, it looks like little Bluebell's fingers are out of harm's way)!

Good thing I couldn't afford one, I guess.
Wow...........
12 major lawsuits for sure...... if i paid big bucks for a stroller, and my kids' finger gets amputated omg...
and why didn't they get to work and design this hinge after the FIRST incident!?!?
The company made strollers for ten years before they fixed that problem? Alright.
I have been using my Maclaren for two years now and have had no problems. My parents and in laws also have used one for my son for almost the same time. No problems either. I don't know the details, but it seems like it is one of those recalls like the Bumbo. There were some idiots who set them on high counter tops so they had to recall them to print that stupid warning. Who is letting their children stick their fingers in the stroller while folding or unfolding it? What are they doing to get them amputated!? It seems too crazy to me.
