I really like the Graco carseats.  I had a graco snugride for my son when he was a newborn.

My husband's set on getting a custom made, carbon-fiber, baby race-seat... oy vey...

The only company I will use is Graco. I'm kind of a snob that way.

for her infant carseat the only one that was simple and felt safe to me at the same time was graco, and now we're using a britax marathon which I highly recommend

I don't like the red car seat, the others are nice though.

I recommend any that can be used for extended rear facing, like the Britax seats or Graco MyRide 65.  My now- 7 month old has been in a convertible carseat since birth.  We plan to rear face in her MyRide65 until she reaches the 40 pound maximum for rear facing.

the only thing bad about the Maxi Cosi seat is that the sunshade is stationary and doesn't go down to cover the baby's face. Very annoying.

ya know... I really hate car seats with bases.

Peg Perego for my infant, and Britax all the way!!  I read reviews, consumer reports, safety, and style!

I have used a Graco Snugride,Graco Safeseat, Peg Infant Seat, Some other full carseat which I can't remember because I got rid of it right away because I hated it and now, the Britax Marathon.

I didn't like the peg infant seat (299 here in Canada!) because of the handle and the funny angle that I thought baby sat in when in the seat.
Liked my snugride, loved the safeseat because it was roomier and could accommodate a larger baby which is what I ended up having both times. Well, not having but they grew really fast!

Though the Britax Marathon (299 here in Canada) is pricey, it is completely worth it in my opinion. I love everything about it. But it is big so if you drive a smaller car, this may not be the seat for you. We have an intrepid and two fit beautifully in it. We also have a montana and I have two on my back bench but there isn't really room for anyone else to sit comfortably on the bench as the two seats are pretty wide.

I love discussing baby products! :)

I love the Graco Safeseat for infants.  When they need to transition up, we LOVE the Recaro Signo.  GREAT seat!

There is no comparison to the Britax. They are HANDS DOWN the safest, well worth the extra money. Also it is always safer to have a child rear facing! People are quick to turn thier babies around as soon as possible, but it is safest to leave them backwards as long as possible!

Sunshine Kids Radian... safety ratings that are the same as Britax, yet is a much more practical carseat if you have more than one child.  We LOVE ours.  It can be used as a 5-point harness to 80 pounds (rear facing to 45, which is longer than the britax).  The price may be a little high for some, but I think it's a great seat and worth the money.
