  • I Can't Wait To Meet You

Each and every day brings me closer to you. I'm so excited to hold you for the first time, look into your eyes...will I see my own looking back at me? I'm so excited for the first time I will see you smile and hear your first laugh. I love you so much already, how is that possible? I can't wait to meet you.

It amazes me how priorities change, how I've changed. Life is such an amazing journey. I feel so lucky and so loved. My life is so full and its getting better each and every day, before we know it our little one will be here with us.

We find out the sex of the baby in four weeks, I'm so excited! Its becoming even more real to me every day...

What was the most exciting thing about your pregnancy?

feeling the baby kick!  It's the most amazing thing in the world, even though it can get pretty annoying sometimes.
I can't wait for that again.

I remember being so excited about the day I was going to get to hold my baby for the first time.  There really aren't any words to describe it.  I always liked getting ultra-sounds.  Because I had an Ovarian cyst and uterine cyst, I got to get extra ones. I think my favorite ultra sound was when it was time to determine his sex.  I was going to say let it be a surprise, but the first thing I saw when the screen came on was his butt and the back view of his genitalia.

The baby kicking and ultrasouds =)

The ultrasounds have been so intense...seeing baby for the first time was unreal, I was sure they were just playing some video and just telling me there was something growing inside me...no way that could be real! Even now that baby's dancing around regularly, even moving my laptop with his kicks and punches ;) it still seems surreal!

Hearing the heartbeat and recording it for her dad who was deployed :)

I guess you can say I had afew great moments. Obviously the first few moments when I noticed that my baby was moving inside of me. It was weird. Then before you know it they are kicking like they own your uterus.lol. The second moment was when my little girl kicked my bottom rub. She only did this once but it was a moment of rebellion and OUCH!!! Before she would stay within her little circle, maybe a bladder kick or two but when she hit my rib it felt like she shook my whole cage. >.< Then when I saw her it was like I've always known her. I've always heard that the moment that you see you're baby is the best thing ever. And for weeks you're trying to figure out who they look like and you're supprised that they are here. For me it was like "Ok, hi!" Not that I was sad or anything but it seemed so natural to see her. She didnt look like me or her father. We are black, sure he's mostly German though, but we are obviously african american. If she didnt have dark brown hair and her father's brown eyes she would seem albino.lol. I think God did this to ease the trasition and proves he has a sense of humor. I guess all this just tells you that babies can be full of supprises.

I don't know that I can pick just one thing.  I guess it was at some point, he and I developed a bit of a routine while he was still in the womb.  I got used to the times he was more active moving around and kicking and stuff.  I used to get up with my husband at 5 a.m. and make his breakfast and lunch, then I'd go back to sleep on the sofa for a few hours.  During the time I was drifting off to sleep was one of his most actives times, and I'd just lay there with my hand on my belly, smiling as he'd press his feet and hands and butt out against it.  And I'd talk to him and lay there thinking about what it would be like to hold him against me.  I loved being pregnant.  And I totally remember being anxious over meeting him.

my baby is a boy and he is 25 weeks now... my husband and i can clearly feel his kicks! and because we are both nurses, we can check if he is ok by checking his heart beat with the use of stethoscope!
its so amazing every time we hear and count his heartbeat. we just cant believe its true and i am carrying another life inside of me!

the first baby kicks are exciting. now it hurts and makes me feel sea sick lol. the first time i heard her heartbeat i cried because we thought we were miscarrying and then there she was healthy and strong. that was probably the best moment in my pregnancy.

the most exciting thing so far in my pregnancy is when i heard her heart beat for the first time. I couldnt believe it. I started crying because I was just soooo happy. I'm finally having my baby.
