5 Year Old Gymnast / Weight Lifter!
Check out 5 year old Romanian weight lifter / gymnast, Giuliano Stroe. He's got a muscular body that should belong to a man. He was entered into the Guinness Book of World records earlier this year after completing the fastest 10-meter walk with a weight ball between the legs. Holy cow!
He's become a celebrity after this video montage of the amazing proof of his strength and abilities hit the internet.

That can't be good for a developing 5 year old body. Have those parents been cited for child abuse yet?
Child abuse perhaps?
WTH.
That's crazy.
Major props to the kid.
Was it just me or did anyone else think "steroids" when they saw the picture? No, I don't think he is on steroids, but his muscle mass is just unreal for such a little boy.
That's just freaky, if I ever have kids I'd never let them get like that at FIVE YEARS OLD. And five is such a ridiculous age to have muscle like that.
That kid needs to be outside riding a bike with skinny arms and a big old fat belly from eatting too many chicken mcnuggets.
They are robbing him of his childhood.Maybe it's something he enjoys doing.
thats crazy :S
@BeautifulB_227@xanga - I agree. LOL My brother was just like that when he was little, but his big round belly came from drinking a lot of milk.
You'd have no problems with a little girl doing gymnastics. As long as he enjoys it and is safe, I'd say that's awesome!
@Katja88@xanga - I actually agree with you as far as the gymastics goes. That isn't what I found disturbing. It is his muscle mass at five that leaves me shaking my head.
poor kid.. he's missing out his childhood, he looks like he's enjoying the exercises, but i'm sure the parents brainwashed him? what kid wouldn't rather go play and be with friends.
There was a discovery channel special on a 2 year old with extreme muscle mass. I wonder if this child is similar. You know, as long as the child is having fun and is safe within reason of the sport, who cares?
My kiddo spends 7 hours a day stuck in a school, mostly sitting at a desk being forced to do activities he sometimes can't stand and last year, being fed horrible meals in the cafeteria (I know, I spent last year eating them too and gained 15 pounds). I wouldn't call that spending a thrilling childhood. And yet noone is calling for the schools to be checked for child abuse...... One should really think before crying abuse.
We were talking about this in my abnormal psychology class today. The parents are apparently trying to pass it off saying he has a genetic excuse for being so crazy muscular, but there seems to be evidence pointing towards them forcing their son to be like this for the attention, popularity, and possible money from it.
parents need to be careful with the amount of strength training. doing it at such a young age can easily distort his epiphyseal plates and affect bone growth.
holy cow! if i was 5yrs old, I know who I'd be crushing on. haha jk. But on a serious note, I read all these replies from ppl who are against the parents for "forcing" him. The kid looks like he's enjoying it. His role model is probably the HULK. I find it disgusting when ppl find ways to blame parents for being attentive and supportive to their kids. Its like trying to find fault in something good. Its okay for parents to push success on their children. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have Tiger Woods, Michelle Kwon, Michael Phelps, Michael Jordan, etc. Somehow ppl must think these athletes had this talent from birth. Its called practice and passion. If a child doesn't find interest in something, there's no1 who can force it on him; at least enough for him to get that good!
@gwacemom - Fair enough. It's pretty creepy, I'll agree. Maybe he has a genetic issue or something? I guess that could do it.
this kid is insane
@BeautifulB_227@xanga - lol, no offense but ew, why? Even though he may be "too in shape" there is an opposite extreme: "being too out of shape" Im thinking chicken nuggets may not be the better alternative here.
@Joanna_said_SO@xanga - Where's the 24 hour cam showing he does nothing but train and doesn't engage in age appropriate activities too? Im sure he does.
psshhhh i could lift more than that kid, i bet
Did anyone else notice the Spanish speaking in the video? Just wonderin'...
He definitely looks like he's enjoying it. He's so adorable! But it's true, such a muscle mass at a young age can be damaging to the nerves...
in case nobody knew this (and as long as it's the same kid i read about) he has a genetic disorder which lowers how much body fat his body maintains. it's not from his parents making him do it, it's just how his body is.
Thats amazing but I don't know if its to healthy to work muscles that early on.
many post soviet countries will pay parents for olympic-level children. its really quite tragic. i dont know the circumstances of this particular child, but it doesnt look healthy.
