  • Hand Print Crafts

I decided to make a quick post on Hand Print Crafts. I'm only going to name a few of my favorite crafts.  I'll be posting more crafts tomorrow, so keep an eye out for updates!

We made these by tracing the kids hands onto a piece of paper and folding that piece of paper into fours. We did this twice. Then simply glued the pieces to a circle of paper.  (Of course you can use a paper plate that kids paint or color yellow.) Draw on a little smiley face, and you have a sun shine!

This is a picture I found online.  The way we did the craft was to trace the child's hand onto a piece of black construction paper (cute the thumbs off). We then glued the two hands together at the palm to make four legs on each side.  After wards we glued a pair of googly eyes to the front, and fastened a piece of string with tape to the back.

These spiders are now hanging from the ceiling!

It's a great craft to do if you're reading Charolott's Webb or even watching the movie. Also, goes great if the kids like Mrs. Spider's Sunny Patch.

Hand print lilies are fun and easy.  Simply trace the child's hand on a few pieces of construction paper, curly them around a pipe cleaner and tape.  Add another hand that's traced in green to make leaves! A great gift for mom's!

I wish I had a picture of the actual project that we did, but I couldn't find one.  Anyway, we traced the kids hand prints on red, orange, yellow, green, and blue paper ... enough hand prints to make a layer of each color just like in a real rainbow.  At the end of the rainbow we placed a pot of gold.  The pot was simply traced on a piece of black construction paper, and the gold was yellow fingers ... (Trace the child's hand on yellow paper, glue the palm of the handprint to back of pot, so that fingers are pointing out like gold.) The sun was also made of handprints.  (Simple really, trace hand on yellow and orange paper, make into circle.) Across the top in the clouds which were made from cotton balls I wrote "Always ask for a hand UP and not a hand out". It was time consuming but fun.

This is list of handprint crafts could go on forever, but since I don't have enough time, nor the space to write a blog that long I advice everyone to check out one of my favorite sites for crafts. You can do so by clicking here.
