• Great First Day

  "How was your first day?" As soon as the words left my mouth, I knew I should have specified which child I was asking first.
  
  They both start talking and I get only pieces from each. From the sounds of the tiny voices, I can hear enough to know that they had an awesome first day.
  
  "Name one thing that was the best out of your day, Bubba."
  
  He looks at me looking at him in my rearview mirror. "Well, Caden is in my class." His girlfriend from last year.
  
  "Goobers?"
  
  "MINE!” he says as he giggles, "Was I made a million new friends and everyone thinks I’m cool."
  
  My babies had a wonderful first day. There were no tears. Though they both told my husband and me that they would miss us and got choked up while telling us, they were able to keep composed and go about their days. They both had friends from last year in their classes and they both adore their teachers.
