I don't rock my baby to sleep because then she will become dependent on that.  She is so used to her crib that when we travel on an airplane and i want her to fall asleep in my arms, she won't

Lol thats funny but my kiddo doesnt fall asleep with me rocking her...but daddy holding her or her swing. or she falls asleep laying next to me nursing.

I didnt watch the video but just looking at the pic i kind of got the idea of where that video was going and its funny as hell. but on the more serious side i DO NOT rock my child or never have rocked my other oldest 2 girls when they was little because like one of the commenters said they will get dependant on it and want to be rocked every night or everytime they want to sleep so that means instead of cooking, cleaning and getting stuff done around the house while your baby just felll asleep your left with rocking ur baby to sleep and then you will be lucky if you can put her down because they like to be rocked thru there whole nap and it sucks because your house will just end up a mess. NOT COOL!!!!! sorry for rambling on but hey im just saying lol

My husband LOVED this! (He's a computer programmer.)

I often have one foot rocking her in her car seat or bouncy chair while the rest of me is on the computer or making food.

That was pretty funny, but as far as I know, car seats are not meant to be used for over an hour or so at a time - bad for baby's back! Also, as other commenters have said, rocking the baby to sleep means they will become dependent on it. I know, I've been there!  Never doing that again...
