Posted by Lauren @ SuperMom CentralWe're getting psyched for school around here with some cute crafts!
(Healthy Bonus: Your kiddos can only do this project if they've eaten their veggies)
Once the green beans or corn have been consumed, wash and dry the can, then get out your favorite ribbons and go crazy! Armed with nothing more than a gluestick, your little ones can explore creativity in patterns and colors, while also enjoying a little R&R&R (reduce, reuse, recycle!).

Once the cans are covered, take an extra strip and hot glue it (mama's job) vertically down the ribbon seams to cover exposed edges. Tie a bow around the top and you've got a super cute way to kick-off the school year!
To really get the kiddos begging for homework,
Martha Stewart suggests randomly wrapping natural-color cedar pencils with skinny masking tape then covering with bright acrylic paint. After drying, remove the tape and your pencils will be prettily patterned!

Cute !
Just make sure the can doesn't have any sharp edges!
@suplaura@xanga - i agree :D
Just wanted to add, if you have cotton gloves, even littlekids can use a hot glue gun with supervision because it doesnt burn through the glove so they can get the glue on their hands.
