Recently I attended a brilliant webcast put together by Office Max and Peter Walsh (from TLC's Clean Sweep) dedicated to providing moms with the tips and tools needed to stay organized! They specifically focused on empowering children to succeed in school through healthy organizational habits, and I loved their ideas so much that I want to share them with you!

Isn't the "Schoolio Von Hoolio" Back-To-School line at Office Max just scrumptious?

2) Make Organization a Family Value
3) Use the Right Tools for Great Organization
TIPS FOR ORGANIZING YOUR CHILD
1) Show that you Value Organization
2) Establish Clear Limits and Routines
3) Always ‘Finish the Cycle’ (Complete a Task)
TIPS FOR THE CLASSROOM
1) Establish Clear Routines
2) Involve Kids with Classroom Organization
3) Use Words, Pictures and Color to help Organize
Each of these tips made me think deeper about helping Jude start his education off on the right foot. In fact, I sent in a question to Peter about developing organizational habits in young children and he answered it during the webcast! To check out his answer and learn more about the tips above, go here -

Did you know that unmotivated kids is the #1 back to school concern for parents? Getting into the back-to-school routine can be hard for everyone in
the house. In the morning, parents are faced with groggy kids who won't
get out of bed and get ready for school no matter how much you nag,
bribe and scold. Homework time can be even worse, with nightly fights
and accusations echoing off the walls of your home.
