My daughter is the sweatiest baby I have ever seen. She's only 6 months old and it seems as if she just sweat so much if the temperature changes in the house by 1 degree. We usually kept the house at a cozy 75-80 degrees year round. We're from California and we like our heat.
Now that she's here, we have to keep the fan on or the A/C going or she will be sweating like a chubby football player! And it seems worse when she is sleeping. I'll move her over & there is a wet spot on the bed where her head was. It's kind of gross.
I don't know which parent she got it from either but I blame her father. He likes the A/C. I don't that much... And hopefully she grows out of this before she's known as the sweaty girl no one wants to play with. How sad...
Does your kid sweat like crazy? Which parent do you blame for your child's moitsture issues?

my nephew is 6 months and he sweats like absolute crazy too! .....and we're from North Dakota....
It might be something you want to mention to her doctor. It could be a sign of heart problems.
I think most babies get pretty sweaty. They can't regulate their body temperature very well so they tend to get overheated pretty easily. Keeping babies bundled up all the time is definitely an old wives' tale. Both of my babies sweat a bunch (we live in Texas).
Both my girls sweat a lot too...ever since they were born. We're from CA too. Last year it was really hot and my older daughter's hair would be soaking wet when she woke up. She was 18 months at the time. not too many hot hot days this summer, until yesterday, but we were out in SF so it was chilly there.
I propose a challenge. I am sure my son is sweatier, lol. I can't fully blame my husband because my mother sweats like crazy, too.
lol i thought it said the "sweetest" baby but i read wrong and topic says sweatiest instead.
That baby sounds like she's sweatin to the oldies like Richard Simmons
@nooitzben@xanga - so did I, lol. :)
I don't know, just try to keep their body regular and don't let them fall into a heat stroke.
My daughter was born in GA and she has been sweating since she was born...lol Her baby bed would have to be cleaned out everyday because of all the sweat. Now she is 2 years old and the sweating doesn't get any better. Basically born a sweater stay at sweater. She does take it after her father!!!! Basically it wont matter if it is cool or hot around her she will still sweat it is just part of her. Maybe years from now she will grow out of it but I just have to wait and see.....GOOD LUCK!!!!!
i sweat a lot when i was a baby. my doc said i was just sweaty. i outgrew it when i was a toddler though haha.
but yeah you should ask a doctor to be sure, i had kawasaki as a baby. no idea if it's related but yeah.
