  • Taking pictures of a diva

    Mama Bee by Mama Bee

    At least a few times a year, a friend of mine calls me to take her daughter's pictures. We do Christmas, her birthday and family pictures without missing a beat. For the last 3 years, I've filled their homes with precious pictures of their daughter and family.

    For Christmas I was doing their annual pictures for cards. While the little one helped me take pictures of mommy and daddy, I asked her what she was asking for from Santa.

    Her response: "The Easter Bunny."

    Now 2 weeks ago I did another shoot for them.  She was so excited to get pictures done with my son, since she has a little crush on him. So in between taking family pictures we let her and my kids play around and skip rocks. I took a few pictures before she says "Guess what, Goob. I got a new job" and he says "Oh yeah? Where?" and she says "A lemonade stand next door" ROFLMAO!

    The little one was on her game and had me laughing so hard some of the pictures were of the ground.

    There I am taking pictures of the family when she jumps off the rock and says "Auntie, I'm going to pose for you. Mom, Dad, you stay there" and she puts her little hand on her hip, sways to the left and smiles.

    I couldn't believe my eyes. The little one was such a little Diva already.

    She is not only beautiful but so photogenic and she makes these shoots such a blast.

    What are some funny things you've heard a kid say recently?

    Hahaha ummm .. I don't know. I'm not around kids enough. That's cute though.

    Aw, she's so cute.
    Ummmm... "You got it, DUDE!" from Full House yesterday. LOL. My neighbors are out of town, so I'm not around kids that often anymore.

    Awe =]

    My son can't talk yet, but he does make me laugh. Yesterday he was chasing the broom around as I was sweeping =P

    If that's your son in the picture, he's definitely a little stud ;)

    sHE IS SOO ADORIBLE, I LOVE TAKEN PICS OF MYSELF AND MY KIDS. BUT I DO ALOT OF POSES AND MY KIDS TAKE AFTER ME SO WELL WITH THAT. THEY GOT IT DOWN TO. I THINK ITS THE CUTEST THING WHEN KIDS POSE LOL

    I love love LOVE the black and white picture! Adorable... I actually don't like it much when kids "pose" for pictures. I like to see their natural behavior as much as possible - so I try to sneak up on my son for pictures

    My son's favorite thing at the moment is to say emphatically "Mommy, you are my FRIEND!" *sigh* I'm loving his twos so far!

    I try to be with my cousin a lot [she's 5] and we were working on cleaning up our church for camp that's starting in a week and we were taking things off the wall. We got to her Sunday school classroom and they have it decorated real nice with tracings of the children, pictures of their faces in place of the heads [the kids colored the traces of themselves] and a spring background. The first to come down was her friend Alex and when she saw him she started saying: "Oh no! He's ruined!" And she sat down in a chair, put her hands over her eyes and fake cried, asking if we could ever fix her friend Alex. She went around to everybody else in other rooms and continued the act. About half an hour later she slipped back into our room and said: "You guys know I was just PRETENDING to cry right?"

    Also, frequently she says things like: "I haven't seen you in a coons age." and when she's upset she says: "Drats."

    @tiffy_momma_of2@xanga - I don't think he meant, overweight wise. ;]

    "Mommy, I don't want to sleep by Grandma anymore. I want to have my own room. . . but I'm scared of monsters."

    My favorite baby cousin is now four. I translated that from Vietnamese to English.

    She likes to shriek: "I LOVE YOU!" over and over, and laugh like it's super funny.

    Her favorite thing to do is talk in Gibberish (She thinks it's English.)

    • About Me: Hi, I'm Mama Bee. I'm from Colorado and I've lived here my entire life. I'm happily married to the most amazing guy and have been for going on 3 years. I am a stay at home mom with 2 step sons that live with my husband and I full time. C is 6 and J is 5. My husband, Daddy Bee, and I have a daughter together. K is 15 months and is a miracle baby. I would like to have another baby but due to some health issues I've been told I may not be able to. I believe that is why God gave me my daughter and our boys. My family has and will always come first. Marriage and motherhood are hard, but the most rewarding things I've ever been able to experience in my life. We have our ups and downs, we're not perfect but we try, we live, and we learn. We laugh when things get hard and we are thankful when things are easy. With 3 kids our life never seems boring. I look forward to sharing my family with you!
