There's nothing better than sitting in the warm sun, licking on an cool, icy treat. Except maybe feeling all savvy and smart because you made them yourself!

Fill paper cups with yogurt, juice, chocolate pudding - even leftover syrup from a can of fruit (how's that for frugal!).
Then cover the cups with a piece of tin foil or plastic wrap. Poke a little hole in your cover on the top, in the middle and put your popsicle sticks down in (you can get like a million of them for 2 bucks at the craft store). Or, if you're like me and can NEVER find anything when you need it, improvise with baby spoons (as seen in the pic).
A couple hours in the freezer and voila! You are mom-extraordinaire,
providing sticky-sweet summer memories for your little ones.
Be Crafty: Let your kids help you make the pudding and put the spoons in. Consider adding some fun things like sprinkles, marshmellows, nuts, granola, teddy grahams, etc.
Be Brainy: Talk to your kids about freezing a liquid into a solid and discuss the differences between the two.
Be Earthy: Wash your popsicle sticks and use them over and over again. Even let your kids decorate them with permenant marker so they know which is theirs.
Be Savvy: Fill your cups with all-natural organic yogurt (no preservatives, no additives, no steroid-cows, no nasty red dye 40) or plain yougurt mixed with crushed-up fresh fruit.
Be Hip: Check out these cute popsicle molds!

What other cold treats are nice for the summer?

I love making popsicles! They're a great way to beat the heat, and use that last little bit of the drink in the fridge. My personal faves are pink lemonade, and orange Kool-Aid.
those popscicle molds are so cute!
Now these are the kind of posts I like to see on momaroo!

the 1st popsicle mold looks like a shark fin XD
Trix yogurt frozen is good too. :)
Coolwhip also freezes up well for a cool summer snack. You can add flavors to it as well.
