Mama Ladybug Today is day one of summer vacation for my family. My big girl is home everyday for the next 3 months...Kinda bittersweet

I was thinking to myself last week "What Am I going to do now that she's home full time?"
Here are some things I came up with:
Park!Who doesn't love going to the park? Here in NYC it's impossible to have a swing set in your backyard because well, you don't have much of a backyard.
So I'm looking forward to walks to the park and day-long sliding! (And they're extra sleepy at night)
The beach( Yea, NYC has beaches)Well, we have many beaches we can go to here, and I love playing in the sand. It makes me feel young again, and the kids love making sand castles.
Meet Daddy for lunch!I love meeting my husband for lunch -it's refreshing. It's amazing how good a change of scenery feels. And here in NYC we have it all - from Spanish to Italian To Chinese to Greek- yum yum!
Scrapbooking!I know, not too much fun for the little ones, but I had an idea to put all of my daughter's drawings, homework, and paintings into a scrapbook of her 1st year of school. And I think she'd love to help out while the little one naps.

PicnicsI love having picnics. Bringing food, coloring books, and toys to just sit on a blanket in the grass is relaxing. The kids love eating outdoors, and this is a great way to spend time together.
MuseumsThere are many museums in the NYC area. And now that school's out, what a great way to give the kiddos some teachin'!
What are your plans for your kids this summer?

Summer started like a month ago i dont know what your talking about ..
Wow this is super late... like a month late. lol
But have fun with your kids! Lol. I want to take ONeill out to the park but his dad is being over protective and says there's too many germs there. He's afraid he'll get swine flu. =__=
But at least I get to take him in the pool! His dad says between all the chlorine and the fact that the pool is ours alone that there is no reason to be worried about germs. What a lame-ass. lol
Don't have kids (long way to it im only 15! =]), but I'm going to Florida for the summerrr =]!!
How about summer camp, cruise vacation or amusement park.
lol, fail on the timing of this post.
The timing doesn't really matter...
Another nice thing about picnics is the easy clean up. You just shake out the blanket and POOF!, the crumbs are gone.
Arts and crafts are another fun thing to do outside. Water-based paints are really good, because they wash off things extremely easily. I take my younger brother outside to do this very activity all the time when the weather's nice.
Hope you enjoy your summer!
