  • I Love You, Mommy

Every morning I tell my kids I love them. Every night I tell them I love them. At least 10 times throughout the day, I tell them I love them. This morning we woke up, got ready and headed out the door at 9am. I had so much to do in very little time so we rushed out to get everything done.

"Mommy, I love you," my daughter tells me in the car on our way to Target.

"Mommy, I love you," my sons tell me while at their swim.

They proceeded to tell me it all day throughout the day.

It seemed that they were saying it a lot to me so I asked, "What's gotten into y'all. You never say I love you this much.

"You always say it to us so we want to say it back. It feels good, don't it?" he pauses. "Doesn't it?" he smiles.

    "It does. Thank you."

"We just," my youngest son says but is swiftly interrupted by his overbearing brother.

"We just want to make you feel as good as you make us, Mom. Thank you for taking us to swim, to practice, cooking us our food and doing everything all the time." My oldest says.

    "Yeah!" chimes in the girl.

"And we're going to tell Daddy that, too. You and Daddy are the best mommy and daddy in the whole wide universe and world. We love you to the moon and back and around the block," says my youngest.

    I've smiled all day.

Lately, I've felt just....tired. My husband works some nights until 9, trying to get as many hours in to give our children and me the best life possible. To pay for swim, to pay for fun time, to pay for schooling and food and a roof over our head. As much as I know he does and how tired he gets, he still gets up every morning and does it again and sometimes, I just don't have the energy that he does. My graves is acting up which means I'm even more tired.

Some nights, I don't want to make dinner. I'd rather stop at Mc Donald's, but I push through to make sure they are eating the way they should. I sometimes just feel like JUST a short order cook and driver, like I'm always doing everything for my kids and that they are going to grow expecting that all the time all the while taking for granted what we do for them.

But I was shown today that they do appreciate all that their daddy and I do for them, that when I tell them I love them, it doesn't get old, but it means something to them. That all the hugs and kisses don't go unnoticed. That the times I'm on the go all day, they see that and they can smile and think "I had a great childhood because of my mom and dad. They did all they could to give it to me."

Today, my kids made me feel like a million dollars.

What are some things that your kids do that just give you the warm and fuzzies?

That's so nice. I have some of those days when I tell my mom I love her all the time and just recently I took her out to a nice dinner for her birthday. I never want her to feel unappreciated. You have great kids!

  • greenwoman@xanga

Aw, I miss my daughter. I can't wait to go and get her from grandmas house now.

I love the stupid things kids come out with. Like when walking to school the youngest a girl 3 is dragging her heels. I say "Come on Eve we'll be late." and she replies, "But my fastness has run out"

     And the constant questions.

Why is the sky blue instead of white?

    Why are the clouds black?

    Why is it raining?

Will all the cars get wet?

    And the houses?

    Can houses really get wet?

    Why is rain a rainbow?

    What is lightening called?

Why is that called a wheel?

Why did they name it that?

Did they name that an aeroplane?

Why did they name that a grasshoper?

    Oh, the list is endless!

I hope to one day raise children who will feel the same way!

that is so sweet.  My daughter wanting to cuddle up with me on the couch to watch tv makes me feel relaly good.  It is something she did when seh was little and since she is almost ten, it is becoming rare. so it is nice when it happens.

What a nice article! Thanks a lot
for featuring it. But aside from concern let me share something new apprehension
to you.! Every now and again, we come up short in between paydays due to a
sudden expense, and that's when a lot of us could really use some payday
    advances.A payday advance really is
something you could use if the utility bill has come due. When you think about it, getting a payday
advance from a payday lender isn't dissimilar to using a credit card – you get
a loan (with the card, it is a loan) and then you have to pay it back, and
should as soon as possible.Except with
cards, they can charge a lot more in interest.Getting payday advances, paid off promptly, could be considered almost
    safer than using credit-cards credit
    cards.

That's so sweet. I couldn't help feeling suspicious reading through it though, it sounds like they did something bad. I hope my kids will be that loving.

I work at a child care center for elementary children before and after school...and during thanksgiving week, I asked them what they are thankful for...

one child said, "I am thankful for you, Ms. Shonda."

    that made my heart smile...

    • About Me: Hi, I'm Mama Bee. I'm from Colorado and I've lived here my entire life. I'm happily married to the most amazing guy and have been for going on 3 years. I am a stay at home mom with 2 step sons that live with my husband and I full time. C is 6 and J is 5. My husband, Daddy Bee, and I have a daughter together. K is 15 months and is a miracle baby. I would like to have another baby but due to some health issues I've been told I may not be able to. I believe that is why God gave me my daughter and our boys. My family has and will always come first. Marriage and motherhood are hard, but the most rewarding things I've ever been able to experience in my life. We have our ups and downs, we're not perfect but we try, we live, and we learn. We laugh when things get hard and we are thankful when things are easy. With 3 kids our life never seems boring. I look forward to sharing my family with you!
